From the moment you enter the hotel their is a feeling of luxury and great service. Every one of the staff has a great attitude and want to help. The rooms are luxurious with beautiful furnishings and a well appointed bathroom. Not only did the bathroom mirror have a TV embedded in it but my shower also had a steam option. The restaurant and bar both have super service and a great menu. The buffet breakfast is good value and there is a full a la carte option.. Security is strong without being obtrusive. We palnned a conference using the meeting facilities which worked extremely well. « less

The hotel is relatively new. The rooms are modern, spacious, well maintained and have up to date technology. My room had a Apple TV connection. The bathroom mirror had a TV embedded in it. In my opinion that was nice but not necessary. On the subject of TV's, very few English language channels or channels with SAP. Let me be specific, no ESPN International. So bring your own entertainment. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating, offering great shopping and restaurant suggestions. Another great feature of the hotel was their car service. Efficient, safe and reasonably priced. The fitness room had at least eight cardio machines. Unfortunately, it did not have weight machines, just free weight. The Reforma neighborhood where the hotel is located is safe but not very interesting. You will not confuse it with Polanco. One final note, experienced a 5.6 earthquake on the Richter scale while staying at the hotel. Felt secure through out the minor incident. « less

This hotel is a great example of a five star hotel. Service, rooms and location could not be better. I travel to the hotel once in awhile and whenever I return the staff immediately recognizes me and greets me by name. Front desk, Room Service, Butler and restaurant services are outstanding. The rooms could not be more comfortable. Only one recommendation, re-design the bathrooms and add a door. I personally think bathrooms should always have a door for more privacy.

As a SPG member I was really looking forward to my 7 night stay at the St Regis in Mexico City, overall I would say that I enjoyed my stay but I found there to be too many issues to justify the price tag this hotel offers its guests.
Pros:
Check in was a joy and the staff offered both of us a glass of Veuve which was well overdue considering we spent over 2 hours waiting in customs.
The rooms are fantastic and the bed was very comfortable, shower and bathroom were great, cleaners did a very good job.
The downstairs bar on level 3 has an outside area where you can buy and smoke cigars and the service was outstanding with a very good selection of wine and food.
Day spa world class but pricey. Enjoyed the glass of champagne at the end of the massage.
Cons:
Internet is not complimentary which really annoyed me, after paying such a high price to stay here I don't understand why they charge 210 pesos per day. The Internet also did not work in the gym on level 15 and I think they have cut corners and probably need to add more access points for wireless connectivity. My advice is get a telcel card for 300 pesos.
The smallest infinity pool in the world but luckily nobody used it. In high season it would be an issue. I also noticed that the pool area wasn't cleaned that often and there were always dirty towels lying around and the Spa looked dirty.The sauna and steam rooms were always switched off and took 30 minutes to warm up which was annoying. Such great facilities that are clearly not being maintained by the staff.
The butler service was hit and miss. Some days we received world class service and than other times the service was very poor. Example on the last day we ordered coffee and it was cold, called and complained and the coffee was replaced with cold coffee, not impressed. « less
