This is my second stop at this Embassy Suites. After a year the hotel is still fine. Location is about 30 minutes from the airport, although he drive is not simple. There is minor shopping not too far away and a large selection of restaurants only a shorrt drive away. The hotel itself has lots of convenient parking. The view is not exciting but despite having an interstate in the backyard the rooms are quiet. Rooms are large, over 500 sq ft and unlike the classic Embassy Suite room is almost square with separate areas for work, living, sleeping and bathing. Unlike some similiar suite designs the bathroom has two doors which makes it directly accessible from both the bedroom and the work area, a nice convenience. The work area has a mini-fridge and a granite counter. There is also a table and two chairs with wired internet and adequate power. Living room has a flat panel TV on a cabinet with drawers, chair and hassock and couch. Bedroom has a chest of drawers with good storage space and a table top, two night stands with drawers. Lamps and alarm clock are easy to operate. Bed linens are OK quality as is the duvet. Bathroom would be large about 9 x 9 but there is a 3 x 3 chase that eats up some space although what is left is perfectly adequate and larger than bathrooms at more expensive hotels. Sincel sink with a granite top large enough to be useful with storage underneath. Shower was adequate, about 30" x 60" with a glass shower door, the only issue is there is only a single soap dish that protrudes into the useful space instead of being in a corner. Towels were adequate in number and size and of appropriate plushness. Fitness room was small with free weights, a single stationary bike, about three elipiticals and treadmills. There were also a couple of resistance machines. Breakfast is typical with custom omelets, cereal, baked goods, and a hot buffet with frech toast, fried potatoes, sausage, and bacon. Nothing special but nothing to complain about. Two weakness: While there were two closets both were small and while you can separate outer wear from other clothes - a good idea in MSP - it might be inadequate for an extended stay. The other issue was there was no safe in the room. Overall the hotel was clean, orderly, the staff was friendly and efficient. Good place for a business trip, I would be happy to stay here again. « less

2 days business, with an event - lots of things to manage, the staff were all brilliant, helpful and went the extra mile. Would certainly stay here again in a heartbeat. We had stayed at 25 other hotels on this trip (we are part of a tour company running events across North America). None of them compared to the brilliant end to end service we got here. The free breakfast, evening cocktails and internet are all icing on the cake - simply excellent. « less

I just spent two days here for a wedding and I am so glad I did. From the time you arrive the hotel staff are friendly and helpful. They remember your name and treat you like family. Martin took the greatest care of us driving the shuttl wherever we needed to go. You must stay here..the beds are comfy and the rooms are very clean and updated....great hotel experience ever. Free bar every evening for two hours and fatastic free breakfast. « less

As you can see in my other reviews, I don't generally give many 5 star ratings but I think this property earned it simply because of the staff member that greeted me when I arrived -- an older gentleman who was very welcoming. Took the time to tell me about everything available and chat with me briefly.
The property has a complimentary breakfast and evening reception, unfortunately though I wasn't able to attend either but I'm sure both are great. « less
