we booked and payed our reservation over one month ago. we flew for 14 hours from mexico to get to zurich, when we arrived the manager said that the room was not available and they were overbooked. there where at least 10 people in the lobby that they did the same thing. they took us to a horrible hotel.
the manager was very rude and he didn t mind to care. beware of this hotel you cannot trust them. they ruined our whole vacation « less

We arrived at the hotel and were very warmly welcomed by Mrs. Kramer, the owner of the hotel. It was our second time in Zurich but the first in the Hotel Europe. As I knew now it would be right next door to the opera house, I spontaneously decided to go to an opera show in the evening that was suggested by Mrs. Kramer and I defentetly enjoyed it with my wife. Afterwards, we had dinner in the restaurant Quaglinos that was still open after 10 pm for warm food. We chose the beef with a delicious balsamic sauce! Very romantic restaurant atmosphere in the evening. The next morning we took a walk at the lake that is only 1 minute away from the hotel, follwed by a nice brunch at restaurant Lakeside recommended by yhe hotel receptionist. One last thing! If you are in Zurich go visit the top of Grossmunster church with a beautiful view of the entire city. « less

I stayed at the Hotel Europe for the second time last month. I decided to go back to the Europe due to its location right next to the opera house. I was impressed by the service i have received, the staff remembered me and offered me a wonderful welcome drink. The receptionist offered me the same room as last time which was beautifully decorated. I enjoyed my stay and will definitely return to the Hotel Europe next time I'll be visiting Zurich. « less
