“De Dikke van Dale” has recently been renovated. Only the authentic facades are kept in the existing structure and a whole new part has been built in harmony with the existing structure.
The hotel features 64 luxurious rooms and 2 bridal suites. All rooms are equipped with TV, safe, mini-bar and bathroom with bath, toilet and hairdryer.

Our room had a great view over open farmland at the rear of the building. Breakfast was OK with some choice. The hotel has a restaurant which we didn't use and a bar that we did, as the only other bar in Sluis was shut early on a Wednesday night. « less

This hotel (nice and completely in style) is suberbly located, just minutes from the beautiful village Sluis and by car near the Belgian coast (Knokke) the Zwin or historical Damme and Brugge. Very friendly approach by staff. Parking garage is (of course in the winter) a great luxury. Both bar, restaurant and breakfast room very neat and richly. Diners a fine level. Rooms and bathroom tidy. The hotel also has a casino and a spa center. « less

Only spent one night here but overall not too bad. Parking was good with plenty of spaces, check in was efficient. First impressions were good it looks a nice hotel on arrival. We had a deluxe room on the second floor which isn't a large room but was nicely decorated, clean and very warm.The beds were comfortable but no tea or coffee making facilities. There is a casino as part of the hotel which looks excellent but everything is in dutch so couldn't understand how to play. Breakfast was very good with a nice choice. There is a bar and restaurant which looked quite nice but we went into town at night. The hotel is in a excellent location, only a short walk to town and it is a very nice town indeed. Overall this hotel is a little expensive but probably worth spending a couple of nights here and we would definitely stop here again. « less
