The hotel has a perfect location on Avenue Louise, which is the main shopping district.
This was supposed to be a 4 star hotel, but could get more than 3 stars. The entrance of the hotel was welcoming, however there're so many problems.
When we reached the 2nd floor by the tiny lift, we were welcomed by empty wine and beer bottles on the floor of the hallway, just across the lift. They were still there there till we check-out the next day.
We had a superior room which was very big, a big plus. However, the room looked so old fashioned and not clean. The bed was so soft and uncomfortable that it was impossible to sleep. Our room was next to the elevator, so noisy that we listened every movement of it. There was a very old ragged couch in the room. The furniture and carpet looked so outdated. The bathroom was ok, though even no hair conditioner or amenities pack. The hotel needs a complete renovation.
Wi-fi reception was very poor in the room. When we phoned the receptionist, she said that she was so busy with the customers, she cannot help.
We paid 335 euros for one night excluding breakfast, which was not worthy at all.

One person working the reception desk when 43 people arrived. I asked for internet help and was told she was busy, to ask tour director. When I got into the room and tried to log on, nothing but problems that could not be corrected on the phone. Receptionist told me to key in 20+ characters, spelling each one - my name, etc. WHY? I went to Reception and she was now friendly and helped my by giving me special code. Instantly on. Front Desk did warm up and was quite helpful.
By the time we got to bed after submitting our travel story to the USA we found the beds to be broken. One bed completely sunk when on sat on it and when one laid down it vibrated badly. Other not as bad. A/C was completely ineffective.
Next morning the clerk at the front desk cheerfully relocated us to a nicer room. She was SUPERB. We had to move ourselves - but that was OK. Great room, super facility, nice A/C.
Our group and another had breakfast in a separate room. Canned fruit, limited bread and other items for breakfast. Coffee was a joke - over 10 people waiting to use it all morning. This is one of the worst continental breakfast we have had in an European hotel. On the last morning of our stay we had breakfast in the main dining room Fresh fruit, multiple cheeses, variety of coffee, variety of bread, etc. 100% better than the room in back for the two tour groups. Elevator stopped in mid floor. At least two sets of people had this experience. Could not get the elevator to function correctly and had to be reset. « less

I've been a dozen times in this hotel, and I guess I've slept in almost every room. I used to get handwritten notes in my room from the director thanking me for being back again, and vouchers for free stay on weekends. I used to.
Position is rather good, and rooms are big - except the 10th floor, where half of the room is a terrace. Great if you are a smoker and does not rain. annoying otherwise, especially when the reception tries to sell you the floor a s "special one', and get defensive and rude-ish when you say you'd like another floor instead. I also don't particularly like the "back" rooms - you need to use a kind-of freight elevator. Gym is rather claustrophobic, and you need the right lift to get to it. Beds are small and very soft - for my likings. It's also not really sound-proof, so you hear quite distinctly the cars passing by.
I used to come to this hotel "regardless". Not any longer: now I feel it's one of the many hotels in the area, with good sides and bad sides. Would not recommend, would not avoid. « less

Dear Sir, Thank you very much for taking the time to put a comment on Trip Advisor regarding your last stay at the Thon Hotel Bristol Stephanie. We would like to thank you also for your loyalty towards the hotel. However, we have read your comments with the most careful attention and are pleased that you like our rooms Louise side except the ones of the 10th floor. A lot of guests like these rooms but if you do not, please mention it when making your reservation. We are always trying to follow the needs of our guests. Regarding the room at the back, they are indeed smaller but sill bigger (35 m²) than a "normal" hotel room and we are pleased to advise you that a tripple glazing will be installed in order to avoid the noise coming from the street. Therefore, we do hope that you will give us another chance and come back in the near future. Looking forward to the pleasure of "keeping" you as one of our loyal guests, we remain, Yours Sincerely, Christine Delord Personal Assistant to the Area Director BeNeLux of Thon Hotels

"Our group has done this weekend away for 10+ years always in the Napa/Sonoma area in the Spring. For the past 3 years we have stayed at the same location in Sonoma. This year I used your site to try to find a different and more reasonably priced location. Not only did I find a fantastic hotel in a great new location, I save $100 per night over last year's room fee." J.F. - San Francisco, CA
"Everything went very well. I really appreciated the service I received from your company. I have already shared your website with other teachers at school. It was easy, informative, and the communications and service were excellent!" S.M. - Milwaukee, WI
