The Comfort Suites Capital Hotel is a 114 all-suites property with a beautiful interior courtyard structure. Each suite features 2-rooms featuring a living room with pullout sofa bed and separate bedroom. Each suite has microwaves & refrigerators and a flat screen TV in the living room, as well as the bedroom.
We offer a full hot breakfast buffet every morning, which is included in the rate. Our guests can also enjoy our beautiful courtyard swimming pool.

I spend about thirty nights a year in various Comfort Suites. This was by far the worst breakfast at any I had stayed. There was no selection, no fruit, very little options. Very, very small double beds. In addition, the night I checked in, they gave me a room that already had someone staying in it! « less

Another good stay at this property. While I wouldn't call this a "plush" hotel by any means, the staff is friendly, rooms are clean (even if a bit tired) and comfortable. Property could use an update, but my guess is that would drive prices higher. Despite being on a busy blvd., this is a quiet hotel, especially in the back section.
Handy to excellent shopping and plenty of restaurants.....quick to downtown Raleigh, too. « less

The microwave that started to belch smoke probably isn't the fault of Comfort Suites, but the other problems rest with the hotel. We have stayed here many times,but in the last year, the upkeep has suffered. The place looks shopworn. The drain in our kitchenette was plugged. The toilet chain was broken, so it didn't flush until handy hubby fixed it. The bathtub had no stopper. There was a bag of trash in the hall left by the rude long term occupants who were living in the room. They emptied the scrambled eggs, bacon, and juice and ferried them to their room while other guests went without. It is hard to understand why management did not confront these violations. All suites and hotel exterior got painted with modern colors and premium serta-plush mattresses in second half of January 2013.
