A new, unconventional proposal for those who seek something different in the center of Athens is the fully renovated hotel STRATOS VASSILIKOS. In the intensity of impressionism and hyperrealism, the totally renovated hotel unit is now in position to offer to the guest the emotional uplift and euphoria in combination with the coverage of his demands, in a place that combines harmonically the floral style with the frugality and relaxing mood.
The guest's first surprise is created by the facade of the hotel, which borrows elements from the Italian renaissance and after that from the imposing presence and vividness of the reception. In an effort to succeed welcoming the guest in a warm and intimate way we have replaced the classic front desk that many hotels have, with a reception lounge.
The contribution of the lighting to the impression made is decisive as other times it interfuses and helps relaxation and other times, it points out spots and objects.

Upon entering the lobby the whole place feels a bit girly with all the floral decoration on the walls and couches... yet it is inviting. The hotel is usually quiet as there are not too many rooms. It is not a super busy place to be honest - but that can only be good. Front desk staff is usually helpful and friendly. There was only one lady who seemed to be rather annoyed and bored by her job. The room I had booked was super big and comfortable with a huge bathroom. In fact I should say it was over-spacey for my purpose. Cleaning is done fairly well (not german precision though). However my whole impression was that the hotel itself is a bit dated, could use a bit of redecoration or at least painting. Seemed a bit dead and worn. Definitely not a five star property. Room service is very fast and delicious for a reasonable price. Always helpful as well. The direct neighbourhood is not exactly charming. Lots of shops closed down or tacky. Located right next to two petrol stations (one beside, one opposite) is not the best place you can imagine. However it is absolutely worth the price. Breakfast is very "greek", terrible for my very european taste. I could hardly pick a few things, only their fresh orange juice is fantastic. One of my best stays in Athens so far so would probably return if so... « less

The room is nice and clean but is not look like 5* star hotel room The wifi it is free but it is super slow! and not very easy to use it! if u want to have fast internet you have to PAY It is in the safe area of the city and very close to the metro lines as well as the Music Hall of Athens « less

Liked that the breakfast area has big tables but the corner tables by the couch are not so comfy. The pale colors make you feel like home.
