This is a beautiful hotel. A bit pricey, but enjoyed my stay for the two nights. Room was large compared to other top notched hotel I visited near the airport. I was there for a dance convention for my daughter and there were a lot of families there. The only thing that was lacking was not enough lounge chairs by the pool to accommodate all the people. « less

This is a large hotel, with full restaurant, bar, etc. I was here for two nights on business. The room was large and comfortable. It was quiet so I got a good night's sleep. The room was clean, staff was nice and breakfast was tasty. If you need to be in century City area of LA, this was a good choice. Of course internet and breakfast is NOT included in the rate so be prepared to pay more for those options. If you plan to work in your room, the desk area has NO LIGHT and is really dark - which I found annoying. Also, on auto check out option, it did not email my receipt to me and it would not allow me to check out again to get a printed copy for the expense report. « less

Stayed here one night on business; a month ago I stayed at the Inter-Continental when the Hyatt was booked, so this time I wanted to try out the Century Plaza. The Hyatt has done better at keeping the lobby fresh and in updating carpeting and guest room furnishings
Comfortable bed and chair with ottoman, and excellent desk workspace. Only real downside to the room was a tiny bathroom (although the sink was outside the bathroom between the closet and bathroom). The bathroom in my I-C room was giant and had a separate shower and tub.
The WiFi was excellent (and free to me as a Platinum Gold Passport), and better than the I-C's. The TV was fine. I had a small balcony with a view of the giant CAA building, which was not as nice as the balcony and view that I had at the I-C. Staff was friendly, but not quite as polished as the I-C staff. Starbucks in the lobby was my breakfast. Tried to workout but did not want to pay $20, so I went for a run outside.
Overall, I would recommend the Hyatt slightly over the I-C, especially for a solo business traveler. But if I was a couple or family, I might prefer the roominess of the I-C room and bathroom (although the furnishings are not as nice as the Hyatt). But both are solid business hotels. « less

The pool area is great and cabana is first come first serve. I will staff the staff is pleasant and helpful but not enough staff for the amount of guests. I've been by the pools for probably 4 hours now and not one server had come by. Other than that the hotel is nice. « less

This property is very impressive right from the start. The impressive facade and sweeping entrance/driveway are what you expect of an LA hotel. Simultaneously, it has a '60s vibe and is also very modern. Nothing about the lobby is out of date by any means, but it just has a sort of luxury you don't find much anymore.
The staff was very attentive and even helped me comb through my car when I'd lost something! I loved the balcony and the bed was super comfortable. After being in LA for a few days (at other hotels by the way), I was really happy to have a nice comfortable bed/pillow! The restaurant (Breeze) also has very good food.
The price was comparable for other hotels and I was pleased with all of the amenities. There were two drawbacks: valet parking was $36 which is a little steep, and the wifi should really be complimentary at this level. « less
