It is also a popular travel destination due to its year round sunny climate, diverse natural landscape and economic status as a top 10 Global City. However, the good news about Los Angeles’s massive span is that it contains a huge supply of competing hotels to keep up with the constant influx of visitors. This keeps prices very competitive, while encouraging hotels to distinguish themselves from one another. If your group is willing to consider all areas of this massive metropolis, especially the ones outside of the common tourist hotspots, you are guaranteed to find a variety of hotel options that provide wonderful and unique accommodations for a very reasonable price.

I stayed busy the whole time we were there. Food was good, beach was very nice, and had a great time at Dodger stadium.

The Grove and Farmer's Market were great. CBS studio's taping of The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson was awesome! More than worth a 5+hour drive.

LA was dirty and full of homeless people. I don't see the appeal. Unless you can afford the fancy hotels, restaurants and clubs its just not worth it.

"There are so many hidden treasures, do not be afraid to explore"
Score 5.0 / 5

Los Angeles is the single most iconic location of the world, which encompasses an entire culture, lifestyle, and region; that goes well beyond its official city limits. Angelinos are very nonchalant, minding their own business but if you ask a question, they are a wealth of information on directions, food, traffic, weather, etc. Driving is an absolute must if you want to really experience and see the city. Public transportation has steadily been improving but more work is needed. Everything is determined by the length of time that it takes to arrive from point A to B; distance is not a factor. You will never go hungry; there is food everywhere you look and most food establishments are open early and close late. There are so many hidden treasures, do not be afraid to explore & get lost and try new things. There are many famous iconic places to visit and take pictures of, but the best places to visit are those you are unfamiliar with or have never heard of. It is true that within 15 minutes to 2-hour drive (subjected to traffic); you can be at a beach, desert, lake, mountain, snow, valley, etc.
