This place is magical!!! We generally like to try new places each time we travel. Avila Lighthouse Suites is the first place we loved so much that we just had to go back again! This place does not disappoint. The property is gorgeous and the staff...superb. We stayed in an ocean front king suite both times. We love the view and the sound of the surf from our own private patio. At night it is so peaceful & quiet too. We love to enjoy the evening wrapped in the super plush robes just relaxing and soaking it all in. We plan to come back for thirds! « less

I stumbled onto this hotel in 2008 and have since stayed there once to twice a year. Basically whenever I drive up and down the coast, I try to stay a night of three there. Its off-season weekdays special is in particular very reasonable. I prefer to stay there with its spacious suite rooms and go to the thermal spa and treatment at the hotel nearby. Location is also awesome as I take a walk on the beach in the mornings before I even eat breakfast. Every year I go back, the hotel is like brand new. They maintain the premises so well and the cleaning crew must be superb. I highly recommend it. « less

Had an awesome vacation at the Lighthouse Suites. The room was very clean, I loved the various lamps with lighthouses, swimmers, etc. The decor was very cute, beach themed. It included a microwave and refrigerator. Our room had a pool view with a patio. The patio was clean and well maintained. The hotel was within walking distance to the Custom House for dinner, Mr. Ricks for cocktails, wine tasting, and various shops. We walked along the beach in the morning where people were also jogging, walking their dogs, etc. It was very pleasant and relaxing. My only complaint (not really a complaint but probably good to know for light sleepers) was a very bright light right outside the bedroom and the patio was covered with shutters. They were not blackout shutters so the room was not completely dark. It may have just been the location of our room, first floor along the walkway, and my husband did not seem to mind it at all. Overall it was a fantastic place to stay and I highly recommend this hotel. « less

Myself and 2 other ladies recently stayed at this hotel and had a great experience. We shared room 225 which overlooked the ocean, and had an awesome view!. The room was exceptionally clean and the staff was friendly and pleasant. The grounds of the hotel were well maintained, in fact we were all in the jacuzzi one night and we saw a worker painting the facade on one of the buildings, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone,great location on the beach plus it was a good value. « less
