Property Description

One of the last riverboat-era hotels, it opened on July 1, 1918, and was named in honor of the Marquis de Lafayette, who visited the city in 1825 at a site near the hotel. An 11-foot pilot wheel from the steamboat J. D. Ayres is featured the lobby. The Lafayette hotel overlooks the Ohio and Muskingum Rivers and is in the heart of historic downtown Marietta. We have 77 unique guest rooms, Gun Room Restaurant & Riverview Lounge and beautiful banquet facilities. Other features include room service, laundry and free airport shuttle service to Wood County Airport.The Lafayette Offers a delicate blend of the past and the present. We combine exquisite riverboat-era furnishings and our legendary Gun Room restaurant with a variety of modern entertainment options such as our seasonal Saturday night Comedy Club. Weekend packages are our specialty with year-round getaways including Murder Mystery, Jazz & Blues Weekends, Romance Weekends and much more.
