We booked a two night stay at this property via Expedia several months before our trip and paid at the time of booking.
We chose the hotel because it was quite a bit cheaper than the Holiday Inn Express that is next door.
When we arrived we were surprised to see that 80% of the hotel was undergoing a major renovation so construction work was "everywhere".
We had already paid so we checked in. Our room was okay but it was obvious that maintenance standards had been let slip, probably because of the pending renovation.
It wasn't that this was a terrible hotel, especially for the price, but when there is construction mess all around and work starts at 8:00 it's not a place to spend a relaxing couple of days. There was no work at night but the drilling noise made it unpleasant to be in the room during the day and that's an unreasonable limitation if you are there for more than an overnight stay.
In my opinion, the hotel should not have been taking guests when there is so much construction being done, or at least they should advise guests about the condition of the hotel before they arrive so they can made an informed decision about whether they want to continue with their booking.
When construction is complete next fall, the hotel will be re-branded as a Comfort Inn and at that time it may well be worth another try but before then stay away unless you don't care about being in a construction site. « less

Right now 4/26/13 they are under major reconstruction. Half of the building is being torn completely out and wallboards being replaced. Everything is a mess. Although, We weren't disturbed by the construction noise. Room was reasonably acceptable considering the construction, but the beds were hard. We were expecting a Continental breakfast, which at one point they did have, but were disappointed to find no breakfast available. We finally couldn't take the hard beds anymore after 2 nights & moved to a more expensive, farther away, but superior hotel. The staff was very helpful and courteous. Megan helped change our room after the first nonsmoking room stunk like old cigarette smoke, and even called to check on us once we made it to the new room. « less

Every Rodeway Inn I have seen have been hole in the ways that doesn't meet any other brand standards. We were there in March for a bowling tournament and stayed here. We even booked the Jacuzzi Room for ourselves. The lobby was being remodeled and the upper level of the hotel seemed to be too, but never heard a noise from them. The hotel and the room was clean and nicer then I would have every thought. Only "complaints" the pillows were not firm enough for my liking and the controls on the heating unit were a little tough to get just right and the elevators could be vacuumed. « less

This hotel was very nice and the location was good as well. You have Galaxy's and Bob Evans on either side of the building. And other restaurants just down the road a couple minutes. The room was clean, and cozy. The temperature was a little tough to control however that is pretty typical of a hotel without a wall thermostat.
