This was an excellent stay from the moment we stepped into the lobby. Behind the counter, Patrick and another man were helpful and welcoming. We met a housekeeper in the hall who gave us a great overall review of the area restaurants.
The room was spotless, and the beds comfortable. There was plenty of hot water for showers, and big bath towels. The pillows are not good though. The breakfast included trays of scrambled eggs and meat in addition to good quality fruit, yogurt, cereals, breads, and waffles. We were very surprised how good the coffee was ( from machine Douwe Egbert). That brand machine's coffee is usually undrinkable. This BW got the recipe right.
The only disappointment with this hotel was the pillows. They are impossible to form to a comfortable shape. Bring your own pillow.
(we didn't swim, but did check out the pool area. It too was spotless. The pool room was well heated and the water comfortably warm to touch) « less

We stayed two nights at this hotel. It is close to the Eastview Mall, the western part of the Finger Lakes area and of Rochester. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. The hotel is relatively new so the facilities and rooms were modern and clean. Above all, the breakfast was of high quality with cold and hot items served in a pleasant surrounding. Apart from shopping, we spent a pleasant day in the Canandaigua area. Of particular note was our visit to the Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion State Historic Park. We strongly recommend it especially for history buffs. « less

My daughter and I were delivering horses in the area and found this hotel in the directory. we arrived fairly late, but were greeted by a front desk agent with a warm smile and greeting. We were very impressed with the hotel and surrounding property, especially since they had had such a harsh winter up there. I knew immediately by the exterior appearance of the property that we would not be disappointed and we weren't. The rooms were beatifully decorated and impecably clean. The breakfast was hot and delicious, and the price was right. I cannot say that about all Best Wsterns. They seem to be somewhat erratic in their level of cleanliness and customer servive, but this one is great! We would definately stay there againif the nedd arises. Great Property and staff! « less
