The Hilton Garden Inn is a new (or new feeling) business/conference hotel that also makes for a nice weekend stay. The service was friendly, courteous and prompt, I had a plumbing problem in my room that was fixed ASAP. Everything felt bright, fresh, sunny and clean. I like staying on the south side of DFW as that is very close to the rental car center and the location just off Hwy 183 is very convenient to areas both east and west of the hotel. The pool area was nicely kept up, even if the water was a bit cold, the fitness center was a pleasant surprise as it was roomy with a number of cardio machines and weight machines. The internet was fast and reliable. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and airy. Overall it is a very good value for the area. One thing is that many hotels in the area offer free breakfasts while the HGI charges $11 for their breakfast and I didn't see much of a difference (other than being able to order an omelette) in value but others may disagree. I enjoyed the free Starbucks coffee but didn't pay for the breakfast. « less

Good overnight stay here at HIlton Garden Inn DFW South! I have recently stayed here for one night, and the service was very good. The front desk staffs and the drivers are all friendly and easy to talk to. The restaurant staffs are good as well. The dinner menu is a bit limited but the food at least is acceptable in terms of taste. With really limited food options, eating in the hotel restaurant or ordering delivery are the only options. The room is nice and it is spacious. Wifi works well and it is a pleasant HGI experience. However, it is clear that the hotel needs a bit more drivers. DFW is a huge airport with pickup points all over the various terminals, and it can be a wait for up to thirty minutes for a ride back to the hotel. From the hotel, the shuttle runs twice per hour. I really think they need a third driver and a third van during the busy hours. « less
