This Courtyard property is a little different from the usual Courtyards. The location of course is excellent. It is situated right in downtown Portland within walking distance to some terrific restaurants, shopping and Portland's "living room", Pioneer Square. The lobby area is nicely decorated and thankfully gets away from the fake grass décor of most Courtyards. Additionally there is a nice full service restaurant attached to the hotel instead of the usual lobby bistros. Valet parking is available for about $30 overnight and is your only option unless you want to spend time running around feeding parking meters. There is no free on street parking. The rooms are nicely furnished with comfortable beds, free Wi-Fi, nice working area and comfortable chair. It would have been nice to have a footstool for the lounging chair since I had visions of lots of people putting their feet on the bed instead. Not a pleasant picture. This hotel has taken recycling to a new level with several options in your room for disposing of trash. Also they have an option for not making up your room if you prefer, presumably saving on time. The room has lots of easily accessible outlets though I wondered why there was only one outlet at the desk. Nevertheless the bedside lamps do have additional outlets for cell phones, etc. The front desk staff was accommodating and friendly. A block or so away from the hotel is the light rail which can take you pretty much anywhere you want to go in the city, including all the way to the airport as well as the convention center. This stay was an enjoyable experience and definitely the place to stay to be in the center of things. Oh - a little bonus - you are 3 blocks away from Voodoo Donuts! « less

I literally always rave about how comfortable the beds are. It's like sleeping on clouds. :) Love this hotel and I highly recommend it! « less

I'd say it's a notch above many other Courtyards I have stayed in. It feels fresh and clean. No frills like most Courtyards. Room is fairly small but the bathroom was large-ish. Comfy bed. Bathroom amenities are typical Courtyard lackluster: scratchy towels, cheap toiletries, skimpy bath mat. Fine overall. My biggest complaint was a very low pressure/low flow sink. Eh, I'm not staying here for luxury...just convenience to a client office. « less

This is a great hotel that helped make my time in Portland absolutely wonderful. I got there early and was able to check in without a problem. The staff is extremely friendly and the location is great. Close to multiple MAX lines (including the Airport line) and within walking distance to places like Powell's and other shopping. There are great food trucks close by as well. As a runner I loved being so close to the river so that I could get my day started with a scenic run. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Portland! « less
