Located inside of Georgia's Stone Mountain Park, the historic Stone Mountain Inn provides magnificent views of Stone Mountain and exceptional comfort. The setting is ideal for a quiet vacation or an important executive meeting. The Inn is a carefully preserved replica of a nineteenth century plantation.

Stone Mountain Inn is an older property but up-to-date and with some rooms as large as a NYC apartment. Set in Stone Mountain State Park, the scenery is beautiful and there are lots of activities for adults and families. Just 15 miles from downtown Atlanta, the park is green and quiet and peaceful. The Inn has very good buffets for breakfast and dinner at reasonable pricing. Swim, fish, bike, hike or just sit on your balcony and enjoy the rockers! « less

Stone Mountain Marriott was a beautiful property with views of the lake, pool and or grounds. The hotel is located inside Stone Mountain Park. You can travel to the park buy shuttle. The park has a train, miniature golf, animals, a huge rock climbing area for adults and children. There is also another climbing structure for children that has a water feature during warm days. The best part of the park is the fantastic laser light show. It begins at dusk, bring a blanket or find a spot on the rocks, the entire family will love it. Food was good, but kind of expensive, but worth one night? You can also camp and or bring your RV plenty of space for both. Several walking trails. The rooms were spacious and clean. « less

This hotel has a beautiful courtyard that most rooms open out to. Rocking chairs are available on the balcony so you can sit and enjoy. It has an excellent location as it is a short walking distance from all the Stone Mountain attactions yet positioned so that you don't get caught up in the bussle. The room was large. We had two full size beds and a couch in the room. There was plenty of room to have had two queen beds which would have been much nicer. Access to a microwave would have been nice as this is a longer stay property as we discovered that the food options were pricey and that there are no amenities for Platinum Marriott members - which was a bit disappointing for a Marriott. I found the walls to be rather thin and could hear noise from the adjoining rooms. « less

Stayed over Easter holiday and prepaid with the packed breakfast and 2 day park pass deal. It saved us over $100 by doing so directly on Marriott's website. Hotel staff were SUPER nice and let us check in very early at 11:30 am as we were there to use day 1 of our passes. Room was right up front next to our car, though very quiet with no street noise. Weather was damp but still enjoyed all the attractions which are an easy walk or free van ride (with your Adventure pass). We did have to pay for one extra child pass but they did not charge for the extra breakfast. Hot buffet breakfast was REALLY good and probably worth paying full price. Rooms are HUGE in this classic but well maintained room. Showers were hot. Rooms were clean. Sofabed was a plus. Room had a fridge but no microwave. Did not use the internet nor watch much TV. Unfortunately was too cool and the pool was closed, but the courtyard is immaculate. Never seen anything like it. Not a single weed in the lawn, like it had been hand cut with barber scissors.
Stone Mountain Park was surprisingly fun for the family. We greatly enjoyed all the activities and the Adventure passé included almost everything except the "Duck Boats". Though I cannot recommend the new Camping themed Grill in the park. Food was horrible and overpriced. This is NOT related to this hotel, just a caution if you stay in the park, try a different restaurant though choices are slim as the Inn doesn't offer dinner. Unfortunately, attractions don't open until very late morning, so there is not much benefit in the 2 day pass unless you are staying 2 nights. « less

I really liked stone mountain inn. The bed was comfortable. I wished they had a microwave and but other than that it was delightful. I liked the layout of the room. It was very clean. The decor could use minor updates but it was nice. I loved the location. You could park your car at the Inn and just walk over to Stone Mountain. I loved the historical look of the inn. I got the breakfast package and it was good as well. They served the same thing everyday but at least it was good. The staff was very helpful and very nice. I would stay there again. My Daughters loved it as well. Great location if visiting stone mountain. « less
