Caz & Del Just returned from their wedding at the Grand Palladium everything went to plan such a stress free day. Omeshia wedding planner had everything organised and did a great job.The staff at Bubbas were fantastic they gave us a wonderful song just to make us feel special, first class meal. Hotel is big with lots going on plenty of places to eat and drink. Sometimes a little slow service but this is Jamaica man so just chill. « less

Myself and my boyfriend went to stay and the Grand Palladium (Jamacia side) for two weeks on May 3rd 2013. On arrival we were greeted with Rum punch and the lady on reception couldn't have been more helpful! We were then shown to a gold buggy sort of thing and someone escorted us to our room. (you have to tip everyone, just like in the US)
The room was big spacious and could not be faulted. The curtains blocked out all the light so it was great if you had a heavy night the night before! The bed was massive! Me and my boyfriend could both star fish and not touch each other, although it wasn't the most comfortable bed in the world. The bathroom was lovely, clean with a massive shower and hot tub. There were some areas that had been patched up but not very well, but it was nothing major that impacted our stay. We had a lovely room over looking the sea on the ground floor with our only real issue being the level of noise in the villa block. This could be early in the morning and sometimes late at night and it was mainly the American's.
The hotel is full of American's and caters very much for them including the food. They are very loud and most of them have no respect for other people. During mid week it is quieter as most of them only come for the weekend (as its so close). This made the hotel a lot louder than we anticipated. We wanted a quiet two week relaxing holiday and during the weekend it was't really that. During the week it was nice as the main bar (Infinity Bar) was a lot quieter and we were able to enjoy the live music and singing and even got up to dance! The live shows were on every nice in the Lady Hamiliton side I would highly recommend watching the couples show. The entertainment staff were great and tried to involve everyone.
We sat around the main pool only once during our stay because we went on a Saturday afternoon and there were loads of people, music and people shouting while playing beach ball, which sort of put us off. There was a smaller quieter pool near our room which we started going to and as it was small you got to see a know the same people every day. The pool area was spotles couldn't fault it. The life guard would constantly be on the look out to sweep out anything that had fallen into the pool such as leaves.
The beach was quite hard but if you walk a bit further down to Sunset Cove the sand is much nicer. The sea was not as blue as it shows on the photos down there the first time we went, but when we went down during our second week the sea was sky blue and as clear as anything.
The food was great (although very catered to the American's such as the bacon and sausage etc) We ate in all the restuarants and had no problems with any of them. The drinks service to the table is quite slow as one bar is trying to serve two resturants and the people at the bar, this is the same in all resturants so I woul recommend getting two drinks at a time when your going for food.
The staff were all friendly from the cleaners to the gardeners to the managers walking around. Some of the staff came across as quite rude, but being half Jamacian myself, I think a lot of it was due to their nature and character. The cleaner came in every day and provided us with clean towels and bed sheets.
Overall we had a fantastic stay and would definitley return to the Grand Palladium! I wouldn't say it was a five star, I would go for more of a 4 star. « less

ROOM: The room was was, their were cracks in the walls and the bathroom door didn't open and close easy. However the room was very clean and the fridge was always stocked. I do not pay all the money to go on this trip to sit in the room so it didn't bother me that the room needed updating.
GROUNDS: The resort grounds were huge! Tons of stuff to do, very green, the pool was huge and really clean.
FOOD: I was told before I went there that to get into the restaurants would be a long wait, so started by going and getting in line as soon as they opened. By the time we were done eating they were still half empty. Even at 8:00 pm they were still empty. However to get into the steak house the second time we were told we had a 1.5 hour wait to get in. After waiting 15 mins we got in. The food was really good in the restaurants as well as the buffet. The service in the buffet sucked in comparison to the restaurants. The Jerk chicken at the Jerk Hut was really tasty. Overall we were very pleased with the food.
PEOPLE: The people who worked at the resort were very friendly. Every time they passed they always said Hello.
BEACH: Do not go to this resort if you want a nice beach. There were a few beaches. Two kinds... Some with a ton of rocks when you enter the water, these beaches were neat to watch the fish swim in the rocks but they were filled with sea urchins and you wouldn't want to step on one of those. The other beaches had nice sand but about four feet into the water was very thick seaweed. I do not like the idea of swimming in seaweed so we stuck to the pool.
ENTERTAINMENT: They was lots to do, they had dance and work out classes by the pool during the day as well as games. Every night at 9:30 they had a show play in the theater (mainly dancing). They were good to watch however when they say it starts at 9:30 it actually doesn't start till after 10. After the show was done they always had a themed party up in the infinity bar. I noticed when you tipped the bartenders up there they would give you 3 times the amount of booze in your drinks. They also had a beach party and a bon fire party.
OVERALL: Overall it was well worth the money spend, we would defiantly go back again. « less

Me and my girlfriend and her little three old son stayed here for three days.Overall the staff was pleasant and nice, there was A young Jamaica man who worked there was chasing everyone out of the fitness center for some reason. We didn`t have to wait to long to get are room,it only took less than A hour.
Unfortunately the food is not very good, both me and my lady`s little son both got sick from eating the food there. The beach has to many rocks and coral up by the shore,I saw A older lady trip and fall on her face going into the water. The swimming pools are nice and clean, but they put to much chlorine in the water.I actually spent most of my time in A little casino they had there.Overall ok,but I will not be staying here again in the future. « less
