When booked, I was told "renovated" yet the hotel was under renovations. The 7th floor concierge is a very nice touch. The two issues I encountered: 1) when I checked in and went to my room, by chance I checked the lock on the adjoining door to the adjacent room. It was not locked. Very glad I looked. 2) The door seperating the rooms appeared not to be the proper kind of door to seperate rooms. It was paper thin. Occupant of the other room got on a call on his cell phone at 10:38pm that night, and I could hear every single of his words, for the entire 48 minute conversation (he was not yelling). Additionaly, I was forced to listen to his choice of movie until about 2:37am. Better sound proofing on the adjoining doors is needed. « less

The hotel is going through some great renovations and the staff is very helpful and friendly, especially Eunice. She works nights but she always has a smile on her face! I have stayed at this hotel approximately 7 times for business and the remodeling of the rooms is great. They now have microwaves and refrigerators along with a modern decor. Where do you get the mattresses? They best sleep I have had in a long time. Thank you Holiday Inn! « less

I highly recommend anyone to stay here, they made my stay very relaxing, and even though they were going through renovations, everything was safe. They were all very pleasant, and helpful. I would like to thank Mrs. Katie Wolff for making my stay an enjoyable one. I am looking forward to staying there again. « less

I stayed at this property for the weekend during the ACC basketball tournament. I could not recommend a better place in Charlotte that I could have been. Although they were under major renovations, they made everything safe and accessible. The room was renovated, and gorgeous. I especially liked the decor and stylish bathroom. The person I would have to say that made it a delight was Mark at the front desk. I have stayed here before, and his hospitality was beyond superb, as it has been in the past. I look forward to returning to my home away from home really soon! « less
