The Courtyard Marriott Blackstone is a beautiful property right in the heart of Downtown Fort Worth. The hotel has been recently renovated and is gorgeous! Some of their rooms have the most awesome view you could want in a downtown setting. Anogher great feature is the hotel staff - they make everyone that walks in the door feel like they are Elvis and you are in the building. I have put some of our Corporate executives up at this hotel and they were so happy there which in itself speaks volumes. It's our main go-to hotel now for them. If you are looking for a a gorgeous place to stay with excellent customer service you won't be disappointed. I wholeheartedly recommend them! They also are a great source of knowledge for fun things to do while in the Fort Worth area. They have a conference room for meetings available as well. The internet service is the best we have experienced at any hotel. « less

We were very pleased with our recnet stay at the Blackstone The hotel staff was kind, welcoming and willing to assist with everything from hotel needs to travel directions. The location in downtown is ideal for a central location close to popular destinations such as the Stockyards and Joe T Garcias and TCU. The stay in Sundance Square was perfect for walks to restaurants. The adjoining Cafe has wonderful breakfast options. « less

We were very pleased to be upgraded to a suite upon check-in. Front desk staff very nice! The room was spacious and clean. Valet parking is a bit expensive, but it's the same everywhere. They always had our car ready when requested.Housekeeping left extra towels when requested. The location is perfect for enjoying Fort Worth & the rates are similar to other properties in the area. The only negative comment for this property was that the beds are not the most comfortable. « less

We'll agree with everyone that the location is perfect if you are wanting to stay in Sundance square. There are several restaurants and bars within walking distance. The view out our upper story window was NICE. The room itself was a bit small, but you have to expect that from a historic hotel that was built in the 1920s.
The only complaint we had about the comfort of the stay was the noise. We could hear some of the street noise and we could also hear some noise in the hall. One night there were people running down the hall screeming, slamming doors. There was also loud music on that could be heard throughout the entire hallway. It woke us up and kept us up, not good since we were there on business. When we called the front desk we were told "OK, I'll take care of it" and without waiting for a response or another question, he hung up. The noise did stop shortly thereafter, so that was good.
The staff were another issue. They were rude, looked miserable and at times unhelpful. Check-in took almost 30 minutes even though there was no one else there. The stone faced front desk employee answered phone calls mid-sentence while checking us in and failed to inform us of even the simplest hotel amenities (such as coffee in the lobby). We ended up purchasing coffee for 2 days before we made the discovery.
Valet is the only option for parking the car but we weren’t even told where to leave it until after we had taken the bags out and asked. Once we found it, we were greeted with another stone face and rudely questioned if we had given him the correct room number. (We were the only people who had checked in at the time). We showed him the hand written card with the room number written on it and he rolled his eyes and walked away. We were left standing by the car and had to give the key to another employee who didn't realize the situation. This second employee, whose name we unfortunately didn't catch, kindly took care of the car key and helped us with our bags.
We were there on business and we made sure this hotel has a business center and printing capacities before making the reservation. The day we were utilizing the printer, the toner was low and the printer stopped printing. So I simply tried to use the other computer/printer combo labeled "quick print." One of the front desk employees, Jean, spoke in a very rude tone without looking up and asked if I was trying to print a boarding pass. I replied that I was trying to print something else, and she snapped back: "Well, you can't do that." I tried to tell her that the toner in the other printer was out. She continued looking at her computer, didn't respond to me, and left me standing there. I was completely shocked; I've never been spoken to like that in a hotel before. The other employee, who was on the phone, saw her lack of acknowledgment, singled to me that he would help in a minute. He did his best to remedy the ink situation and even apologized for Jean's behavior. When I suggested that they make it clear that the other computer is designated for boarding pass printing only, he said "it is."..... um, ok. (He did have to get another employee help him replace the toner cartridge. The two employees snapped back and forth at each other. The fact that they were willing to do this in front of hotel guests suggests the type of environment this particular Marriott has.)
The one redeeming employee that we encountered at this hotel was Mary, who had the only smile we saw all weekend. She helped us extend our check-out so that we could take care of some conference responsibilities. Mary actually remembered the reason for our late check-out request and asked how it went.
When we visit this part of Ft. Worth in the future we will definitely not be staying at this hotel again nor will we recommend it to any of our colleagues or friends. Somebody needs to fix the morale at this place so the employees can smile at the customers. This is not what we expected from a Marriott. « less

The location can be great near the Ft. Worth Convention Center. I wish they had a no pet policy and free breakfast. The room was very nice, even though one window had a view of a/c tubing. This well-maintained property, and staff is friendly. Disappointed no safe in the room, nor good alternative at front desk. Good free wi-fi. Property also has a small, but friendly bar.Housekeeping seem to do a good job for my three night stay. Taxi fare was $70 from Dallas Love Field. Pretty expensive in my opinion. Many restaurants near the property. « less
