Smyth, the newest addition to the Thompson Hotels Group, is located in downtown Manhattan, NYC, in the heart of the trendy TriBeCa neighborhood.
Smyth is designed in a traditional yet contemporary modern way which perfectly matches its environment.
The Smyth lobby, designed by famed Yabu Pushelberg,
features modern interiors with a classic twist, drawing
inspiration from the vibrant surrounding neighborhood. The
space resonates with a romantic notion of an elegance of
years gone by and the ambience reflects the fine balance of
wit and refinement of a gentleman. The materiality speaks to
that of a fine, tailored bespoke suit – pairing sumptuousness
fabrics with a curated collection of custom and vintage
furniture. A sense of craftsmanship can be seen in each and
every vignette; creating an eclectic sculpted lobby for all
guests to enjoy. The lobby is a call-back to a London
gentlemen’s club; featuring a lobby bar and fireplaces
surrounded by a luxe seating area of vintage and modern
furniture.
All rooms and suites feature sleek stainless steel desks, custom
made 400 thread count SFERRA linens, individual temperature
control units, two phone lines with speaker and conference
capabilities, and in-room safes. The bathrooms are replete
with oversized terry-cloth robes by Frette as well as bath
apothecary and spa products by Kiehl’s. Entertainment
options include a flat screen TV, DVD Player, along with an
I-POD docking station which also serves as an alarm clock.
WI-FI and broadband internet access are provided
throughout the hotel. In-room pantries offer both Dean &
DeLuca gourmet snacks and Kiki de Montparnasse
accessories.
Smyth’s Thompson Penthouse & Smyth Suite both feature
floor-to-ceiling windows, high ceilings and private terraces with
memorable views. Each loft features a master bedroom, two
full bathrooms, a corner lounge area and a separate dining
room with a kitchenette. With expansive views of the Tribeca’s
vibrant skyline, these suites are perfect for private entertaining,
in-house meetings or simply to relax.
