I have stayed at this hotel twice for business events. The last stay was November 2012. Upon arrival and check in, we went to our rooms. They are clean, and mine was updated with new comfy bedding and flat screen TV. We had a staff member become ill, so the mini mart in the lobby was helpful since it has drinks and a few items such as ibuprofen, etc. The new breakfast area is very nice. There are plenty of restaurants close by; even a mall if you want to shop. You're 10 min or less to OCU, and about 15 min from the airport. Even though you're close to a highway, I didn't have any issues with road noise. I will stay here again if the price is right. « less

This Courtyard reminded me a little of Oklahoma City; kind of old, frayed at the edges and a little down on its luck. Carpets are stained and things like the bifold mirrored doors were impossible to close once they were opened. The sofa/love seat had been obviously "patched" as one of the cushions was recovered in a completely different fabric. All this being said, we were not uncomfortable. The king bed was very comfortable, pillows were great and the thermostat keep the room temperature exactly where we wanted it. This property is in desperate need of a refurbishing but the staff were friendly and helpful and we got a decent rate. P.S. I would like to add that the lobby area appeared to have been redone recently - I think it is the guest rooms that are in desperate need of attention. « less

We stayed here for a board retreat. The staff treated us very well. The food food was great as well. The rooms were updated. The only downside was the road noise from the highway that is just north of the hotel. If you stay here make sure to kick on the white noise app on your Iphone. « less

Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly front desk clerk. With my reservation found, I quickly had my key and room number and off I went. At first glance, everything in the room seemed in order. After a long day traveling, I crawled in bed, and while noticing that the pillow case seemed a bit wrinkled, the bed was comfy and I was soon fast asleep.
The next morning, as I made my way into the shower, I noticed a dirty towel hanging on the door hook, a dirty hair-infested bar of soap in the bathtub soap tray and a toilet that looked like the prior occupant used the rim instead of the bowl, sprinkling where he should have been tinkling. ARGH. It hit me all of a sudden. The room was quasi-cleaned but not CLEANED prior to my arrival. While the housekeeper who prepped this room showed off exceptional origami skills, as the toilet paper was folded into a geometrically perfect triangle, it didn't negate the aforementioned filth found during my 1st bathroom journey. In fact, how could this person take the time to triangulate the toilet paper (wasn't this designed to visually prove that they in fact cleaned the bathroom?), but failed miserably in actually cleaning and I assume disinfecting the bathroom?
Since I was staying at this property for 2 more nights (and in fact, am writing this review while sitting on the Ikea looking furniture in the room), I mentioned my unpleasant find to the manager on duty on the morning of disgust. She was very nice, customer service wise, when I informed her that their housekeeper did not do a complete job on the room. She even made that icky frowny face when I told her about the used soap, dirty towel and nasty toilet. I mentioned that I did not want the same housekeeper keeping my house while I was a resident of this room. She assured me that a different housekeeper would give a good cleaning to the room for the rest of my stay, which in fact they did.
So, was this experience an anomaly to a normally clean, decent Courtyard property? Probably. But, I also think it is possible that their housekeeping staff doesn't have the proper mindset to realize that the importance of a good cleaning will not only leave a good impression on the guest, but the lack of same just leaves you feeling a little dirty. « less

I have passed the web site on to others and will continue to do so. The Machinist Union is always setting up events all over the world, and I will continue to pass this information on to my brothers and sisters." S.C. - Biloxi, MS
