The location of the Grove Hotel in Boise is in the heart of the downtown area, including the Grove Convention Center, the Arena, and the Grove Plaza. A free shuttle provides transportation between the airport and the Grove hotel.
Eighth Street is a major pedestrian throughfare providing easy walking access to downtown right outside the hotel. In every direction within a block or two are restaurants, bars, parking, shopping and entertainment including the Basque Center, a music store, an apple store, the arena. The Greenbelt and the Capitol are also within walking distance.
The facilities are the hotel are nice, the fitness center is the nicest hotel gym I have ever seen bar none. It is a private gym where people have memberships, complete with freeweight and machine equipment, a pool, hot tub, utility room (spinning, yoga, etc) sauna and steam sauna.
The room was average with a LCD TV with cable channels and nice beds. The room was cleaned and beds made daily. The mini fridge was very small, I didn't use it. The bathrooms are not very big, but I had an average room, not a suite, and it was sufficient for my needs as a business traveler. The only improvement I would recommend to the room would be a safe in the closet.
I had a great time in Boise, due in large part due to the location and access of the hotel. I would stay there again, and would recommend this hotel to any business, family, and solo travelers. The value was excellent. « less

The Grove was the site of a software show I attended in Boise. A cute, university town in the mountains of Idaho. The hotel had a very well trained staff with consistent, friendly service from the restaurants to front desk. It is also the venue for the ice hockey rink and can be crowded during pre and post games. I would go back to the Grove the next time I am in Boise. « less

Very nice modern hotel with all the amenities. Loved the location in the walking shopping district and close to outdoor fitness areas. I was here for a conference in the Boise Center. We enjoyed all the local shopping and restaurants in our off time. The fitness center is top notch and I enjoyed using their 25 yard lap pool while watching the sun come up over Boise. I would definitely stay again. « less

I stayed in 1130 and enjoyed my stay. I was there for a conference, so I got the group discount of $99 per night. The staff is friendly and genuinely interested in making your stay pleasant. The room had everything I like to have in a hotel: fridge, hair dryer, iron, coffee maker. The hotel is in a great location where to can walk to local attractions. I didn't arrive until midnight and there was a misunderstanding in my reservations, so I was tired, hungry and grumpy. But the staff and the bed smoothed me out and the shower beat me into submission. When I checked out, I made a side remark about the shower and the staff immediately wrote it down, so maybe the next guest will have a gentler, softer bathing experience. « less
