"Decent Stay At Charleston Plaza Hotel"

I was disappointed in the lack of cooperation from the hotel staff. In short, the staff treated the failure of housekeeping to clean my room on Sunday as if it was no big deal. After explaining her request for a late checkout because all persons were physically handicapped, my sister was told that the latest they would give her was 12:15 pm (I could not assist since I left early on Monday morning). This was absurd, especially when they had failed to clean our rooms on Sunday. When I arrived at the hotel, the sink was stopped up and a family member's toilet was filled up with personal waste. On a positive note about the hotel, the restaurant staff was very pleasant. Our waitress was very good. The food as excellent. In general, the hotel was not bad, even though it warranted the renovations that it was in the process of undergoing. I understand that it will be joining the Marriott chain.

I personally thought the hotel was nice. It wasn't the cleanest or newest hotel, but the pools were nice and the kids really enjoyed it. Would be nice to have fridge and microwave in each room. The staff was very nice and accommodated our group to make for a pleasant stay.

"Poor Staff Attitude and Missing Amenities"

Staff has no desire to accommodate customers, just bad attitudes all around from employees. Rooms had been stripped of refrigerators and microwaves. I will not stay again nor will the group of 10 other families that came for a lacrosse tourney.

The hotel exceeded our expectations. The rooms were exactly as described, the breakfast buffet was amazing and the indoor pool was a definite plus for our group. Definitely a place to stay when visiting Charleston. Bring your high school groups for sure!

This past weekend, we had a large group of college kids stay here. The hotel accommodated us very well. The event space we rented was prepared well in advance of the time we needed it. The rooms were a bit outdated in some aspects, however that did not sway our experience.

"Orchestra Field Trip with 50 Students and Parents"

Everything went great! The hotel was just what we needed. The best part for the students was the indoor pool and the best part for the directors was the fantastic room accommodations. The bed was super comfy and I loved the in room Starbucks coffee. Everyone loved the Moniker's Breakfast Nook inside the hotel and the wait staff was bar none! Even when one of the students got hurt at the pool the concierge was immediately available with bandages and antiseptic. I wish all of our hotel stays were this fantastic! Staying at the Innplace Hotel was a real treat. We booked 15 rooms total. In addition to our group, 3 other large groups were staying in the hotel and they still gave us individual, satisfactory service! I look forward to staying again!
