one The receptionist upon our arrival was excellent. Very helpful. two our room was a non smoking room. However upon entering it you could really smell the cigarettes in the room. The cleaning lady was on the floor and she came in and sprayed our room a lot and put the air conditioning on to help get rid of the smell. Much appreciated 3 my husband and I thought we'd love to have a cuppa coffee. We do have a Keurig at home and do you know how to use the coffee pods. However the machine was out of order. 4 We went out for dinner with family and returned around 10 o'clock. I've decided to go for a swim. The water was excellent but the music in there was extremely excessively loud. 5 when I left the pool I went to report the loud music to the front desk. This would be Friday, July 30 around 10:50 PM. The man on duty said “ well there's only eight minutes left to swim “. He sort of “brushed me off “ I also Reported that our Keurig coffee maker was it working. He never asked my room number so that it could be replaced. Not so nice! 6 Due to Covid we realized that breakfast would be served in a different fashion. My husband went down as he uses a walker. The staff for breakfast were excellent. They assisted my husband in every possible way. Even given the circumstances the food was quite fine. 7 My husband had to wash The hose and mask from his CPAP machine in hot water with soap. He tried to put the plug in the sink and it would not close. 8 When we left around noon time, we reported the Keurig, the sink, I mentioned the loud music and the fact that our room smelled of smoke. 9 when we returned that night around 10. Our room had not been cleaned, the sink had not been fixed, the Keurig had not been replaced and the room still smells somewhat of smoke. The garbage was still there and one towel that we had used had not been replaced. In other words no one was in our room whatsoever that day. That was Saturday, July 31. 10 Sunday morning August 1, my husband went down to get our breakfast. The eggs and sausages were fine however the muffins were very dry. Definitely not fresh. Seeing as we had eggs on Saturday we thought we would just have a bagel and cream cheese. They did not have any at all. Given that it was a long weekend we felt that the selection should've been a little bit better. 11 on a positive note. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. however, we are both short elderly persons. We found the height of the bed a bit difficult to get into. The footstool was too high for it to be of any assistance to us. 12 given all the above, I do not know if we would stay at this hotel next time we're in Toronto. My brother and sister in law are 90 and 88. We no longer stay at their house because it's an additional amount of work for them. If we did decide to stay at this hotel, I think I would check the room first before accepting it. .
