'Of all the inherent vices, laziness is the most pernicious one. It eats away one's desire to succeed “ the very hallmark of existence.,
Joseph del Ronaldo, a famed historian and scientologist from Amora, Portugal, was a vocal preacher of life of hard work and fairness, as is evident from the quote borrowed gratefully from one of his essays detailing the state of liberty people feel themselves at, despite the reality not being even one bit closer to that notion.
While it would be too foolish to extrapolate this idea into the larger scheme of things with the city of Amora at the epicentre, it would be worth mentioning that the very identity of Amora throughout its recorded history has been that of a town which lives by the rules and plays it fair, rather than pushing its luck and taking the short road to success.
Much of this nobility is automatically instilled into the residents of the city, and then, it doesn't come as a surprise that the small town of Amora holds important industrial connections in the whole of Seixal (a Portuguese District).
Although there is nothing too distinctive that would draw tourists to Amora, the overall ambiance of peace and quiet should be enough to warrant at least a flying visit, if not much more.
Budget Hotels and Lodges in Amora
Amora is home to only a handful of lodges and other accommodation options. What this means that it would be nearly impossible to demarcate between cheap hotels and luxury hotels in Amora, leading to a perspective and discretion driven decision making. That's why, without crossing the boundary of judgement, we would be vying to offer an objective view of these cheap hotels in and around Amora.
The reason to choose such accommodation options is quite clear. Despite the lack of amenities and facilities that they bring to the table, many tourists don't find it at all risky to take the bet head-on. Money, of course, is the largest impetus here, as much of it can be successfully saved should you be able to secure a good enough budget hotel.
The best way to go about finding good Amora hotels is rather circuitous and it involves not looking for them in Amora at all!
Yes, you read that right. Better lodging options are available in Seixal District and the short duration of commute means that it is very much possible to get this tightrope walked on, if you are determined enough.
Belavista Avenida is the best bet here, though. It is a tried and budget hotel in Bentley, and offers the best of multitudes of worlds “ comfort, affordability, convenience, ease of access, good food and sightseeing assistance!
Finding Luxury in Amora
If budget hotels in Amora didn't really stand up to your expectations or didn't strike your fancy, you can choose to upgrade and advance yourself to luxury Amora hotels. Quite frankly, when you are visiting a naturally beautiful city like Amora, it becomes imperative for you to go with a hotel that complements this beauty through the best facilities and world class amenities. At such resorts, you can find in-house saunas, heated swimming pools, global kitchenette and 24 hour room service. The only catch here is that you should be willing to pay hefty sums of money for every night you spend at one of these resorts. Usually, nightly tariffs for these five star resorts in Amora start from $150 or thereabouts, hitting the upper cap of up to $500 at times.
Of course, with that much money being paid, you shouldn't be expecting nothing less than the best, and that's exactly what you get with Evidencia Belvedre Hotel. It is the prime five star resort in Amora, famous for its exotically designed spacious suites and dedicated swimming pools.
Clube da Meia Praia Amora is a competitive option for Evidencia Belvedre. It is much more reasonably priced and offers pretty much the same deal. Location-wise, however, the former is much better poised than the latter.
Hotels Near Amora Airport
Amora is not much of a big city that comes packed with ultra-uber infrastructure and facilities. An extension of this argument means that it is not directly serviced by a dedicated domestic/international airport, and hence, getting in can be a bit of a hassle for tourists.
The nearest international airport to Amora is Lisbon International Airport. While the airport is not that far away from the heart of the parish (about 20 km, give or take), it does take a fair bit of time to cover this distance, given the heavy traffic that Lisbon is perpetually riddled with.
So, for the sake of convenience, if you are trying to find a good hotel in the vicinity of the airport, it is Lisbon that you should targeting, instead of Amora.
Talking about Lisbon Airport and hotel and/or lodging options nearby, we cannot help but mention the presence of Ibis Budget Resorts. Three of their properties are currently in operation in the immediate vicinity of the airport. Tourists who tend to have close calls with missed flights or connections can just choose one of these properties blindly, given the reputation that Ibis enjoys in the world of hospitality!
