Crowne Plaza Seattle Downtown

This Crowne Plaza is an easy and stylish choice for any group. They just completed a massive renovation that refreshed and reconstructed the entire hotel, giving everything the feeling of being totally new. The new design is stylish and airy and also pleasantly "ergonomic" (everything is designed and placed in a way that optimizes comfort and usefulness). They have even thought of concepts like the "silent floor", which is a floor dedicated to people that need absolute silence at all hours of the day. Every precaution is taken to reduce sound on the floor, such as having their cleaning staff wear slippers. The hotel rooms are a good size and their suites feature floor to ceiling windows that angle outward to give wonderful panoramic views of the city (definitely worth the small spike in price). Many of the hotel's meeting rooms, which were one of the biggest parts of the renovation, also feature these windows. I must also give them credit for their decorations, which are always very tasteful. During my last visit, for instance, I got the chance to witness their Christmas holiday decorations, which were placed very subtly in icy blue tones throughout the lobby in a way the enhanced the hotel's already chic and minimalist look. I am also a fan of their bar/restaurant, which is tucked away in an elevated part of the hotel that allows you to look out onto the street or down into the lobby. They have an excellent downtown location that is only a few blocks from Pike Place Market and only a mile away from Seattle Center and the Space Needle. Their is nothing startling about this hotel it is very straight forward but its clean design and tremendous ease of use makes it a hotel I would recommend to absolutely any group.
