Wreaked of marijuana. Dirty floors in hallway. Food ground in carpet. Shooting happened while I was there. Suspect went into elevator police swarmed. We immediately checked out and wanted refund. Still have not received. We were there less than an hour. Witnessed the whole incident in the lobby while it unfolded as I was waiting on a food delivery. Looked like hookers and pimps stayed there.

Have stayed at the Red Lion over the last 6 years. Has changed “name” several time, but same employees. It has steadily gone down from a very enjoyable experience to not knowing what to expect next. When we arrived on Thursday, one elevator was not working, by Friday, two elevators were not working. Was told a couple years ago that they were going to have some upgrades made to the property.. never happened. Our room was not cleaned on Saturday, so we had to go to front desk to request fresh towels (which we did receive). Employees were very friendly and helpful, wanted to make sure we had everything that we needed. Lobby use to be a great place to meet, but furniture has been removed, not as much seating. Lobby is not very “inviting “ anymore. When we were ready to checkout, they tried to charge us “again”, we had pre paid for our weekend. We did get that straightened out. Red Lion is a very convenient place to stay, great access to Enterprise Center for which we were going to for Missouri Valley Conference Basketball Games.. very disappointing the shape this hotel is in.

It wasn't a horrible stay. The staff was nice. The inside courtyard was pretty with lights on the trees. The bed was clean. The shower was powerful. So at first glance this place seems nice. However we tried to go get ice and, first of all, the ice machine was all the way in the opposite corner of the hotel on our floor tucked away instead of being centralized (it's a big hotel, like, very big). Secondly when I got there it was out of order and leaking water everywhere. The end of the world? No, I get it, things break. However, I then went to the elevator and went down a level to the 5th floor to get ice from there. Again, out of order. Ok, annoying, but still hopeful I tried one more time and went up to the 7th floor to get ice. And you guessed it, out of order. Oh come on, now that's ridiculous. All ice machines on the 5th, 6th and 7th floor are out of order?! So we gave up. Now on our little adventure other things started to unravel. The carpeting is in really bad shape almost everywhere with stains and wrinkles and torn patches. Lights in some of the hallways were burnt out. Scratches and dents in the walls. It seems like this hotel was probably nice 10 years ago, but has had zero upkeep. Also around 9pm we went downstairs to grab a drink at the bar lounge inside and it was was closed. 9pm?! Isn't this a city? Oh well, the location ain't bad but just so you know, if you have a car you will have to pay additional to use their parking garage. It's not included in the booking price and there's really nowhere else to park. Overall this stay left me feeling annoyed.

Upon arriving at the hotel, was greeted by an warm staff. All my questions was answer which included best places to eat, what to do in St. Louis and how to get there. I would for sure stay there again.

I stayed here because it was close to the st louis hospital my brother was at. This hotel is nothing like the pictures. Its old and run down. We arrived at night. There were no towels in our room so had to call and get some. Then the toliet wouldnt even flush paper down. Called and reported that. Not sure if anyone ever came as we had to leave. That night same thing. Next morning I fixed it myself. Ice dispensers didnt work on any floor. Had to do laundry one nigt. Laundry room was horrific. Full of mold. Soap dispenser didnt work. Washer didnt spin clother and dryer didnt work. Young man at front desk helped us out with that. He dried our clothes and called us at 2am to let us know they were done. The maid went through our bags. And removed items. The parking garage was very scary. And $25 a day to park is ridiculous. One elevator didnt work our whole stay. We left one day early and got no refund. Had I not been there for emergency reasons I would of found a different place. I dont recomend this hotel.

I was intrigued by the structure of the hotel. Great 1st impressions. From website it lists parking under amenities and my assumptions led me to believe that parking was free. There was no coffee in the room, you have to travel to the "coffee room" to get coffee. When I expressed my concern with management, I did get a coffee pot! thank you thank you! When I got to the room the bed skirt was tucked under the mattresses, after four days of housekeeping it still is. The bedspread did not even cover the top mattress. 1st night I felt something bumpy, stripped bed to find little (whatever it was) on mattress pad. At times the toilet water would rush, waking me up several times. The faucet in the bathtub turns on its on making the water hotter very touchy. One of the phones is not even plugged in. The towels ranged from awesome to thread barren. displease with soap and shampoo altho very nicely packaged. Yes I am now getting too picky. I remember thinking twice, that while the staff in the lobby getting an elevator or just talking to people was a nice touch, it would have been great to spend a little more money on maintenance, better linens and pay housekeepers better. Again great concept here. Very mixed feelings.

My family was pleseantly surprised at the hotel, it's services, pleasant staff and room size for the cost we paid for it. Compared to other hotels we stayed at and even in this area, we thought we would be getting an average hotel and room at the best. The room was much larger than we expected, we got two tv's to watch, the pool was nice and well maintained. Though it may appear quite dated, it easy covers fir that with the value. If I had to stay in that area of St. Louis again, I will remember this hotel!

When I first arrived I truly believed my stay would be great, however it was not. I am a disabled combat veteran with more than 20 injuries. three of my injuries are severe fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis and epilepsy. With that being said my room was freezing and the house keeping staff did not clean my room the next morning. I called the front desk that afternoon to explain that my room was freezing and asked that they also send someone to take the trash out and bring fresh towels and toiletries. They say the was let house keeping know and they would send the engineer for the heat. We left our room at 3pm and returned to our room at 1130pm. The room was still very cold and no housekeeping done. I called the front desk, They sent their night manager up who brought us towels only and took a temperature gage and put it in the heat vent. He says it read 111 degrees but clearly the room was cold. He said since the gage read 111 there was not anything he could do. We asked to switch rooms, he said they all are the same and would not allow us to switch. The rooms was so cold it was hard to shower/bathe and get out inside a cold room. He was sarcastic and was adamant about us staying in that room. Terrible stay because it was hard to get comfortable in a cold room.

The woman at the front desk was friendly and helpful. She helped me get a room with two beds instead of one. She explained to me how to get the bus to where I needed to go. She also helped us change rooms when the first one reeked of smoke. The room was clean and comfy.
