Although a bit pricey, I enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is at an ideal location near the ocean and promenade. The room was a decent size and I received my request of a king size bed, The staff and serviced was great! I will probably return to this hotel.

We booked an ocean view room with a king bed. When we arrived at the hotel, we asked if we could do early check in. They said the room wasn't ready, but they'd call us when it was. Around three pm we checked back (room was supposed to be ready by 4) and they indicated it was ready; I'm wondering how much longer we'd be sitting around if we didn't check back with them. The 'king bed' was a mattress that might have been an inch larger than a queen mattress sitting on two twin bed frames. One of the tables in the room had clearly not been cleaned (there was food caked on it) and there was a large red stain by the door on the carpet and some on the wall. When we went to the beach the next morning, we arrived around 10 am and decided it would be nice to have beachfront chairs. We spotted two chairs with sun umbrellas laying on them and figured the hotel employee setting up the chairs just hadn't set them up yet, let's refer to him as the chair employee. We set up the umbrella and the chair employee comes by to tell us those were reserved. We asked him if that was part of hotel policy (we knew it wasn't) and he said no but they'll be returning later. We took the chairs anyways. The guy and his family who reserved it came back two HOURS later long story short, after some argument with chair employee and the guy, we decided to stay put but eventually gave up the chairs simply because we didn't want to sit next to anyone that thinks that's ok. If you want a chair in a particular spot, get down there and sit in it. We relocated to other chairs after watching another family leave them, only to have another lady and her family come by and tell us she had reserved our chairs! That same lady tried to tell a family that set up in front of her on the beach that beach property was to the right of her (her chairs were actually set up past the flag that demarcates the hotel beach line). To top it off, there was an obnoxiously loud wedding going on until 10pm right on the beach the first night we were there. The price for two nights in this hotel was simply not worth it. We won't be coming back to this hotel or Long Branch ever again. I will say that if you enjoy being around snotty, 'rich' people with nice cars that don't treat others kindly, this is the place for you.

Overall a beautiful property. As soon as construction is finished it will be great. No reason to charge for coffee and tea in the lobby. It should be complimentary for the price of the rooms! Besides, the coffee is terrible. You can do much better.
