RESORT LOCATION Exclusively located on the bay at Barr Al Jissah, the Shangri-La nestles against the dramatic backdrop of the rugged interior mountain and the spectacular waters of the Gulf of Oman offering both the leisure and business traveler a fully integrated destination resort, providing the perfect gateway to discover this historic land of contracts and culture. Set in 124 acres of landscaped gardens, the resort is located on Oman's staggeringly beautiful coastline, just 20 minutes drive from Muscat and 40 minutes from the airport. ACCOMMODATION The five star resort complex comprises three hotels Al Waha, Al Bandar and Al Husn with a total of 630 rooms. Depending on the size of the group, accommodation for the entire group can be reserved in one hotel or the accommodation blocks can be spread between the hotels if required – all in the one location, and all guaranteeing five star services and facilities. AL WAHA Al Waha (the oasis) has 262 bedrooms, with a size of 32 square meters, and is the perfect option for families and the leisure market. It includes a fast food restaurant / Internet Café and a South American / Argentinean all day dining restaurant. There is a superb seafood restaurant directly overlooking the beach situated between Al Waha and Al Bandar. AL BANDAR Al Bandar (the town) a five star deluxe property, with 198 bedrooms and a room size of 40 square meters, is the focal point of the resort. Several restaurants and bars are located in Al Bandar, and include an Italian restaurant, Tapas bar, long bar, nightclub, coffee shop, and a Middle Eastern all day dining restaurant. AL HUSN Al Husn (the castle), with 170 bedrooms and a room size of 51 square meters, offers a superior experience for visitors who require the attention that surpasses a normal five star product. Butler services will be provided for each room. This hotel has its own private gymnasium and private beach, an infinity pool, water features and a 500 square meter Presidential Suite. Food and beverage options include a Moroccan restaurant, an International restaurant and a cigar lounge. Guests who stay at Al Husn can enjoy the facilities in the entire resort, however the facilities at Al Husn are only available exclusively for guests staying in that hotel. CHI SPA Shangri-La's own brand of spa – Chi Spa – will be an integral part of the resort experience. With 12 treatment rooms, guests can experience the traditional Chinese and Himalayan treatments which promote balance and harmony in the body. Overlooking the resort and the Arabian Sea, this restaurant will ensure a charming and stylish dining experience. 130 seats indoor and outdoor Shahrazad – the Moroccan Restaurant provides a complete Moroccan experience, in a traditional yet contemporary and refined setting. Open for dinner only. 100 seats indoor and outdoor AL BANDAR Al Tanoor – the All Day Dining Restaurant of Al Bandar unfolds the different culinary treasures of the Middle East with hints of Asia and Europe to round off a complete dining experience. 188 seats indoor and outdoor Capri Court – an authentic and luxurious Italian restaurant, emphasizing on high quality products, traditional Italian recipes and a large selection of wines. Open for dinner only. 76 seats indoor and outdoor Tapas & Sablah – Sablah is the resorts ultimate outdoor evening venue, where the sky is the ceiling. Mediterranean and Asian Tapas as well as Oriental Mezzah are served until late at night, completed by a large beverage selection and live outdoor entertainment. 120 seats outdoor only Piano Lounge – live jazz entertainment is provided on a daily basis in this lounge, which offers a stunning view of the sea and the rest of the resort from its large balcony. Long Bar – Football, Rugby, Concerts? All major events are shown on large screen. Enjoy the entertainment with exquisite signature cocktails in the Long Bar. AL WAHA Samba – the All-Day Dining Restaurant of Al Waha with its unique and contemporary décor incorporates the colors and flavors of South American cuisines. The distinctive show kitchens evoke a modern South American grill station. 194 seats indoor and outdoor Bait Al Bahr – located directly at the beach between Al Waha and Al Bandar, our seafood restaurant with a special feature on traditional Omani seafood is the ideal venue to enjoy the sunset and the natural beauty of the Gulf of Oman.
