Property Description

The iconic Metropole Hotel Cork is located in Cork city centre overlooking the River Lee. The riverside aspect affords sweeping views from the back rooms, the restaurant and main conference suite while the rooms to the front of the hotel overlook the historic Victorian Quarter of Cork city. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel with 300MB Internet bandwidth. All guests can avail of free local, national and international newspapers and magazines when they stay with us by downloading the Press-reader App. Guests can enjoy complimentary access to the attractive Leisure Centre with facilities including a 20m Swimming Pool, with three pool areas, Jacuzzi, Sauna, Steam Room and a fully equipped gym. Conference facilities for up to 400 delegates are available as well as banqueting facilities for up to 250 guests. The hotel has just undergone an extensive €2.5 Million refurbishment to all 108 bedrooms, the Riverview Restaurant and the Met Bar & Bistro which is now called The MET. The Met is situated at the front of the hotel, along MacCurtain Street and re-opened on the 1st Sept 2018 after a complete refurbishment and is a new taste experience for Cork. It is a spacious, elegant and a sophisticated bar, split over two levels with great food made from the finest local produce, served daily from 12 noon until 9.30pm. The hotel also offers a delicious Classic Afternoon Tea package at €17.50 per person.
