'And the earth stands still, the winds grow dry, but the old spirit of discovery still prevails. There she stands, all solemn and narcotic, waiting to be led back to the darkness she belongs to. And the darkness that belongs to her.,
Wincenty Pol was one of the most recognized literary figures and poets of Europe in the 19th century. He was born in Lublin, and quite proudly, spent much of his life in Lublin. These words of solemn sorrow, in some curious way, signify the hidden anguish that the city of his birth has suffered from, in his own words, the day of the genesis.
In that sense, Lublin is a difficult place to grow up in. For the majority of its existence, the city has had to live in the shadow of bigger, better and larger cities with grander, more famous and more recognized public figures. Budget Lodges in Lublin
Few would contradict the fact that Poland is not among the most expensive countries in Europe. Despite having a good enough economy and hardworking population, Poland has somehow always found it tough to get its economy booming. Significant setbacks caused by the Second World War haven't been offset fully yet, either.
In such circumstances, it can only be reasonable to assume that a trip to a rather not-so-famous city in Poland wouldn't cost you a great deal of money. Cheap hotels that can be found here in Lublin further help this cause.
Believe it or not, it is indeed possible to book a decently furnished hotel room in a good neighborhood of the city at prices as low as $45 per night. Hotel Europa, for example, is located quite nearby Lublin Train Station, and is very convenient for sightseeing purposes, too. Despite all those credentials, the hotel charges its patrons only about $50 per night. To quell your worries of the quality of the hotel itself, it must be put on record here that it is one of the best known hotels in Lublin and you would anyhow find it quite difficult to get hold of a spare room here.
Hotel Ilan is another similar establishment that shines brightly amidst the gung-ho of cheap hotels that surround it. Hotel Huzar is, however, our own favourite pick, because of its impressive building that houses over 200 rooms, and its good location (at a short walk from the famous Marie Curie University).

This hotel is more of a recreational facility where you can go in order to lead a life of peace and quiet for a few days, in the company of various natural therapies and herbal detox methods, not to mention its excellent staff that is ready to serve you 24x7.
Hotel Agit Congress Spa shares the same theme, however, at much lower prices.
