The Lodge has been adapted from an early colonial farmhouse built in the early 20th century. Ngare Sero is one of the oldest family lodges in Arusha. It offers only 10 garden rooms, 1 main house suite and pool cottage with 2 bedrooms, and provides personal service for its residents since 1973. Here you can spend the days amid nature, watching the changing colors of the Kilimanjaro glaciers while sipping drinks on the verandah or hiking in the forest inhabited by colobus and Sykes monkeys as well as hundreds of small animal and bird species. Try swimming in the 30 meter pool or fly fishing in the cool waters of the clear lake, horse ride under the tree canopy or treat yourself to a massage in our Garden Spa after a long journey or an international flight.The Lodge is located only 30 minutes away from Kilimanjaro International Airport and Arusha town center, which makes it an ideal base for safaris. Our gardens with a profusion of trees and flowers, and grass lawns with lake and forest views make perfect grounds for intimate family celebrations or grand receptions.Our LAKE PAVILION provides a quiet space for work, group discussions or yoga practice under the forest canopy surrounded by sounds of nature. It is a 8x8 meter tented platform overlooking the lake and the forest inhabited by colobus & Sykes monkeys as well as hundreds of species of birds. The furniture layout is arranged individually for every event according to the requests. The shade of old trees keep the pavilion cool during the day. The Pavilion has a fireplace which can be used during evening events. The light is provided by 2 chandeliers above, and there is 1 power outlet. Small sound system is complimentary, a big sound system is available for rent. Our team can provide professional event planning services for conferences, weddings, as well as birthday parties and anniversaries.Every year we host a number of international wellness retreats, providing a quiet space for practice amid nature with an abundance of cultural, adventure and wild life activities in close proximity.Our team can also assist you with organizing day activities, safari adventures and mountain climbs.
