We booked a reservation at the Highland Lake Resort for the night while traveling I-26. This was sight unseen so we were a bit apprehensive. Our concerns were quickly dispelled by the charm on natural beauty of this resort. This is the off season, so it was quiet. We had the one bedroom cabin with a fireplace. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the location great for walking the dog. We utilized the restaurant, which we found to be very good, with great service (Melissa) and a sensible and varied menu. The quality was excellent. Of especial note, the breakfast was included with our room. Breakfast was OUTSTANDING AND DELICIOUS, with a variety of options. The service at the restaurant and the hotel was professional, courteous and friendly. We highly recommend this establishment especially if you have your canine friend with you.
