Great place to stay a period of time!
I was able to reserve a room last minute, as the original motel told us that dogs were not allowed. That place, The Mt. Whitney motel looked like a dump. The phone reservation clerk for Quality Inn was very professional and helpful. Surprisingly, we got a room there, as Booking.com reported there were no vacancies anywhere in Lone Pine. Our room was very clean. The bathroom was clean as well. I could tell the housekeepers took pride in their work. The king bed was so comfortable that I didn't want to get up. The hotel was secure. Office staff were friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast had multiple foods to choose. And, the eggs and sausage were quite delicious. There is no doubt that we will always stay at this Quality Inn during our travels on 395.
