The Castle hotel is an independently owned small luxury hotel located at the heart of historic Lincoln, nestled beween the magnificent gothic Cathedral and historic Castle walls the Castle hotel is the perfect place for both business and leisure guests visting the city of Lincoln.The hotel underwent a £1million refurbishment in 2011 transforming it into the stylish luxury hotel it is today. The building was built in 1854 as a boys school and has a veried and interesting history itself until it was converted into a hotel in the 1970's. The refurbishment has been sympathetic to the age of the building whilst creating a stylish and decadent interior.All rooms are appointed to a very high standard with modern quality interior design and furnishings, each room is en-suite with state of the art drench showers and most rooms having a bath too. There are flat screen entertainment systems in each room and most rooms enjoy unrivalled views of the Castle or Cathedral.Downstairs features a stylish lounge bar area serving bar food, fresh coffee, an extensive wine list and Champagne by the glass. The hotel's restaurant named Reform is considered the best in the city and beyond and was recently voted the "Best restaurant in the county". The cuisine is modern European using only the freshest local ingredients and the menus change every six weeks with the seasons. The restaurant is stylish and decadent yet relaxed and ideal for all occasions and the service is both highly professional and attentive yet friendly and relaxed.The owners Paul & Saera both work in the business on a daily basis and along with a staff of 20 cater to their guests every need in a professional yet welcoming and friendly manor.
