Knowing that Best Western is a national chain I thought that it would have high standards but I was very mistaken. Everything was bad. I usually look at the bright side but I could find none at my two day stay. The hallway had a bad smell. The bathroom was dirty, the water in the tub leaked, we didn't get the right number of towels. They promised us free breakfast but when we went for breakfast the sign on the door said due to the covid 19 situation there will be none. They should have stated this on their website but didn't. When we got back from our second day stay the room was not made up. This was the first time I ever stayed in any hotel for more than one night and didn't get my room made up. I could go on. I was very disappointed in everything.

Became a bad after I need bathroom tissue they said they will bring it and never did had to go out and get it if the hotel cart before check out.

At almost $200 a night, I was not expecting what we got. While it looked like some aspects of the rooms have been renovated, the overall appearance of the hotel is rundown. Our room had an outdoor entrance and there was no weather stripping around the door, leaving a huge gap between the door and the door jamb for humid ocean air to get into the room which created a lot of dampness and moisture in the room. After staying like that for three nights my fiance now has an upper respiratory infection and his phone is damaged due to moisture in the charging port (the alert for this came up in the morning after being in the room all night and not near water.) Because of the open gap in the door and the humid air, our bedding was damp throughout all the nights we stayed there which was SO uncomfortable. We requested to be changed to a different room and were told there were none available. The proximity to the boardwalk was nice but everything else was a poor experience. If I had only paid half of what we were charged, I'd be fine with it because you get what you pay for. This is not what you should get for a $600+ stay.
