This hotel has been completely renovated and is charming. It reminds me of an older motor lodge style hotel with an upscale beach inn. It is the perfect little seaside inn. The rooms offer plenty of space and are nicely appointed with new furniture and linens. All of the rooms are exterior entrance but open up to the ocean and it is a short walk to the beach side. The hotel resides on the ocean and has plenty of parking, an outdoor pool, and grilling area. The rooms were very clean, staff was friendly and accommodating. There is a refrigerator in the guest rooms and some have microwaves. The hotel is situatated on the end of the beach before residential, so it provides a great beach for walking. With only 57 rooms, plan to make your reservations early. This is a simple, and relaxing, hotel which offers a neat little get away.

Property description
One of Myrtle Beach's Hotel gems, The Mermaid Inn, has been completely renovated for 2013. This smaller, quiet, ocean front hotel has undergone a complete makeover with all 57 rooms renovated to have either 2 Queen beds or 1 King bed with Queen sized sleeper sofa. We are also offering beautifully decorated suites. All of our rooms have a side ocean view and come with the essentials that you have come to expect. Each room is equipped with a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and 42" flat screen TV. The Mermaid Inn provides FREE local and long distance phone calls within the Continental US, as well as free wireless internet access for our guests. We have guest laundry facilities located on our property for our guest's convenience.Whether you are enjoying the surf and sand, our large outdoor pool and deck, or strolling around the nearby ocean front park; our goal is that your stay with us be one of comfort and relaxation. Our location is close enough to the excitement of Myrtle Beach, yet far enough away to provide the relaxed vacation experience that you and your family has been looking forward to.
