The hotel used to be the Metropolitan and is now being beautifully renovated including the large ballrooms. The now Doubletree by Hilton has a very spacious modern lobby with lots of natural light. A nice Restaurant right off the lobby serves contemporary food. Among the beautifully decorated, large and clean rooms are 40 One bedroom suites with kitchen aisle and pull out couch. The total meeting space available is 5000 square feet. Other amenities include a lap pool and large fitness center.

I thought the hotel was very accommodating. Great venue for our group. Can walk to most attractions. Being close to Dundas Square, the Waterfront is only a 20 min walk and all the attractions in that area was fantastic for all. Such a great choice of restaurants in the area as well, so all of our group was happy. Very pleasant stay for our business purposes.

When we initially booked this block of rooms it was easy, fast an convenient. Then we decided to change some of the rooms sizes and book a brunch for 70 guests. We had a lot of difficulty getting a hold of our sales representative Carla. When we were able to get in contact with her we had to wait long periods of time for her to make adjustments and get us pricing. However, on the day of our check in the staff were kind and accommodating. The suite I stayed in was clean and well maintained with a great view. The hotel was quiet and the brunch was on time and service staff were friendly and helpful. Overall the stay was great and our guest were happy. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and unhelpfulness of the sales team was a let down considering everything else was great.
