It is our pleasure to welcome you to this special woodland retreat on the edge of the City of Stratford. We are located on the east side of Stratford just minutes from the Mall and we are a seven minute drive to the Stratford Festival Theatre.The Forest Motel & Woodland Retreat has nineteen different rooms in three buildings on two properties covering 32 acres, all of which overlook the forest and Lake McCarthy. The nineteen rooms are very unique, immaculate and comfortable and have many different bed configurations. Room rates are all subject to a 13% sales tax in Ontario. All rooms are air-conditioned and have a fridge, freezer, microwave, cable TV, ironing boards, hair dryer, coffee & tea, toiletries, umbrellas, books & magazines, birding & trail maps, theatre & culinary guides, and popcorn & evening mints to end your day. Some rooms also have fireplaces, recliners, pullout couches, saltwater hot tubs & kitchenettes.Your room rate includes the use of the boats (pedal boat, kayaks, and canoes), bikes (single, children's and tandem), boat house yard & water games, BBQs/Grills (propane), campfire and outdoor fireplace (wood included), 3 km of walking trails, internet, and continental breakfast each morning from 7:30—10:00 A.M . Cross country skis & snowshoes are also included during the winter months. You are provided with room cleaning and makeup service each day from 9:00 A.M.—1:30 P.M.Our non-smoking policy and no pet policy in all rooms and buildings are designed for everyone's comfort. Our cancellation policy states that if you cancel within 10 days or less prior to your stay, you forfeit your one night's deposit—any time prior to the ten days will simply result in a $10 processing fee . We do not overbook rooms so your room is set aside for you the day you are confirmed.Check In time is 2:00 P.M. or thereafter, as we have much work to do with 19 rooms to clean and 38 beds to make.
