The Foothills Inn is one of the oldest motel/hotels in Rapid, but it was clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly enough and the breakfast mediocre. We made a group reservation for a 60th Anniversary party so that we could have access to family and get together after the festivities. Well, once everyone checked in they would never release rooms information to me or anyone else. However, they did call me at 11:00 pm to tell me one of the family members had to cancel last minute. We had to sign out extra bath towels from the front desk, since we had our children with us and five people in a double room, but only had two towels placed in the room. Each day they cleaned our room they would take them all away and not replace them. We wouldn't get back into the room until 11:00 pm. One day we asked them to return to our room to clean it, but they never returned. They advertised themselves as a family reunion friendly hotel, but there was no public space to get together and chat, so we would have 15 people in a room. The only day the kids could swim they were treating the pool with chemicals during the time it was supposed to be open, but we were able to go next door to the Grand (owned by the same people) and use their indoor pool. For the price I would have gone next door to the Grand, which is right next door and seemed better ran and more accommodating to what we wanted. If you are not going to be in the hotel much and need a good, quiet place to stay that is clean then the Foothills Inn is it, but don't expect much else. Good location to shopping and restaurants.
