The Japanese bath – a place for tranquility and reflection
Here you will find the Japanese ablution room. This is where you wash before entering the sauna or other bathing facilities. In Japan washing your body and bathing are two separate rituals. In the ablution room there is a wooden stool for you to sit on and wash yourself. This is where you start to relax and begin to find harmony and inner peace.
After the ablution ritual you can relax in the hot springs under the pine trees or take a sauna with a view.
• According to Japanese tradition the use of mobile phones and taking photos is prohibited in the japanese bath area.
• You will receive swimwear and slippers to use in the Japanese bath. Private swimwear is not allowed. The swimwear is yours to keep, the slipper you borrow.
• Opening hours: Weekdays 6.30 a.m to 11 p.m, Weekends 7 a.m to11 p.m
