Property Description
Saxon Lodge is a home from home bed & breakfast guesthouse accommodation situated in Gansbaai, the world's Great White Shark capital, in the Western Cape, a short, beautiful, 2 hour drive from Cape Town and Cape Town International airport and an hour from Cape L'Agulhas, the southern-most tip of Africa.
Situated above the Gansbaai Harbour guests are met with the opportunity to observe a working harbour in action as trawler boats leave and return with their catch. The viewing deck provides spectacular views over Walker Bay and the Overberg mountains. . It is commonplace to see the Southern Right Whales frolicking in the bay during spring & summer and the sunsets are awesome!!
The lodge boasts 9 spacious en-suite rooms with private entrances, most of which also have private verandas with great sea views. All the rooms are individually decorated to create a tranquil and restful ambiance. We offer the frills of a small hotel within the ambiance and comfort of home. We have double and twin rooms and 2 family suites for families or groups travelling together.
A private, well stocked residents' bar and restaurant provides privacy and exclusivity for guests to enjoy and share their experiences and space with each other. Dinner BOOKINGS are essential.
