"Very Nice Rooms. Some Major Issues With Group Check In"

This is a review for a large school group check in. The property itself is quite nice. The rooms were clean and spacious for a Holiday Inn Express. As far as the condition of the property goes, I would give it a five out of five excellent rating. The breakfast was also very good, with several hot items including pancakes, potatoes and eggs. The breakfast crew did a great job keeping the items filled for a group of 190 people. However, the hotel was completely unprepared for our arrival. Despite being very organized on our end and communicating with our group sales contact several times leading up to our arrival, the hotel was completely caught off guard by our arrival. Our check in process took nearly an hour and many of the double rooms we requested were a king bed with a double fold out couch even though we were explicit in our request that the double rooms needed two actual beds. Many of the rooms had not been touched by house keeping and some of the rooms already had someone in them when we opened the door. A few of our people had to stay at a different hotel because they did not have enough rooms available. The hotel also had us checking out a day earlier than we were supposed to. I must say in the hotel's defense that I am sure that this is not their normal way of doing business. I am aware that they had just recently had some changes in personnel and it seems that the details of our stay were somehow overlooked in the transition of employees. The hotel did refund a portion of our money, so I must give them credit for that. However, I do feel like it took more effort on my part than it should have to get that done. The manager Jamahl was very polite throughout the process. I have also worked with their group sales contact, Kelisa, in the past. She has always been excellent to work with and top notch in customer service. Natalie at the front desk was also great to work with. I believe the issues we encountered were a one time ordeal. And if it weren't for those issues, I would give the hotel a five out of five excellent rating. No human is perfect. I believe this was just an honest mistake that involved some miscommunication. So with that in mind, I would definitely give this property another chance in the future.

"Good Stay"

We loved the breakfast, the use of the computer and the exercise room! We would add more turkey products for those who do not eat pork in a separate container. Since food is on the premises, I would employ the use of consistent prevention measures to prevent "unwanted" visitation of mice and other creepy crawling things!
