I spent seven hours in a lovely room. Staff was courteous and efficient. I am very upset that my room was $149, but fees and cancellation insurance was twice the price of the room. ($99 for taxes and fees and $24 for insurance) Ny reservation was made hurriedly and perhaps I didn't pay enough attention, but these extras were totally out of line. Yes, I have submitted this information to the proper places and am waiting for a response.

Property Description

The Holiday Inn is a 121-guest room hotel located just off Interstate 20 &59 at exit 154. The hotel is a five-floor, handicap accessible, interior entrance building, with 7 suites which include sleeper sofas, dining room sets and a wet bar with utensils. The hotel offers a business center, a 2,400 square foot conference room that divides into three sections, an indoor pool, an outdoor patio and a health and fitness center. In addition, the hotel offers an on-site, full service restuarant.Holiday Inn is two minutes from downtown Meridian and the Mississippi Arts + Entertainment Experience (Meridian's newest attraction), three minutes from the MSU Riley Center for Performing Arts and Education, and only five minutes from the Meridian Regional Airport. It is also close to Meridian Naval Station.Convenient shopping is just around the corner at Bonita Lakes Mall and Crossroads Shopping Center. Guests can enjoy the outdoors at Bonita Lakes Park, located one half mile from the hotel.Holiday Inn offers an exclusive shuttle service to any business within a five-mile radius of the hotel. Guests can visit the Dentzel Carousel, Merrehope Mansion, Jimmie Rodgers Museum, Soule' Steam Feed Works Museum, and Mississippi's oldest restaurant, Weidmann's.
