La Hacienda Santiago Texmelucan data de 1698. Fue construida por un español llamado Matías Jacobs, quien tuvo que cambiar su apellido judío a Rivero ( Matías Rivero). Se dice que este hacendado, transitaba seguido por la zona, pues transportaba metales hacia Veracruz y quedó enamorado de los llanos de San Juan, por su enorme parecido a Zacatecas. Y por tal motivo, construyó siete Haciendas por los alrededores, heredándole una a cada uno de sus hijos. Santiago Texmelucan, la heredó Cuauhtémoc Rivero. Era una Hacienda principalmente pulquera y ganadera muy extensa. Su santo patrono es Santiago Apóstol, también conocido como Santiago de Compostela o Santiago Matamoros. El 25 de Julio, en la capilla de la hacienda, la gente regional que es muy devota, se lo celebra haciendo representaciones, cantando, etc. Texmelucan en sus raíces, significa “Lugar de Encinos”Somos un Hotel Hacienda con hermosos jardines, 63habitaciones, 7 salones (para eventos o capacitaciones),restaurante, alberca techada, canchas deportivasM is ión: Brindamos a las personas, empresas, y grupos la maravillosa experiencia de hospedarse enuna hacienda con más de 400 años de historias, leyendas y gastronomía.
