Ten floors of understated classical rationalism enriched with marble and fine woodwork, like the grand marble staircase with steps and landings built with monolithic slabs of marble. The bar has an alabaster counter and wood panels inlaid with fine woods, depicting Bacchus amongst the grape harvesters. The central lobby has a working fireplace surmounted by a wood inlay panel with Prometheus, while the “sala del Mappamondo” boasts a painted vellum map of the Mediterranean Sea.Its centrally located position, right next to the Termini Railway Station, makes for an easy walk to the main sites of Rome, such as the Coliseum, Imperial Forums, the Trevi Fountain, the National Roman Museum and the Basilica of St. Mary Major. Its proximity to the Termini Railway Station and the hub of the subway system enables you to move around the city easily, and the direct airport train, taking you to and from the Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino airport, is available only a short walk away at the Termini Railway Station.Hotel Mediterraneo offers 7 sunny luxury suites with lovely terraces on the 10th floor penthouse, and a Roof Garden Bar, all with an extraordinary panoramic view of the city, from the dome of Saint Peter's at the Vatican to the Forum and the domes of baroque Rome.At the hotel's restaurant, exquisite dishes of Italian and international and cuisines can be savoured accompanied by a selected list of vintage wines. The Hotel Mediterraneo can also host conferences of up to 100 people in its three meeting rooms equipped with the latest audio and video technology.
