Property description
Nestled at the foot of the Helderberg Mountain in the Cape Winelands, Somerset West is a tranquil and upmarket town also known as Cape Town East, only 20 minutes from Cape Town International Airport and 40 minutes from Cape Town city centre.
Blaauwheim Guest House is an exclusive establishment in Somerset West, run by co-owners Johan and Jo-Anne Blaauw. It consists of two luxurious suites, Pinotage and Chardonnay as well as a luxurious double bedroom called Shiraz. Each suite comprises a lounge/dining room/kitchenette, a spacious bedroom with full en-suite bathroom, an extra guest toilet and veranda or balcony. Shiraz luxury bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and a private enclosed courtyard. There is ample secure free parking available within the premises. The lush, treed garden boasts indigenous yellowwood trees frequented by many birds and a substantial collection of cycads.
Blaauwheim Accommodation is in the heart of the famous Cape Winelands, near the long sandy beaches of the Strand and within easy reach of Hermanus, the whale watchers' paradise. Golfers are spoilt for choice with a selection of golf courses on our doorstep. Stellenbosch is a mere 10 minutes away and Franschhoek will take another 15 minutes along a beautiful scenic route.
Cape Town, which is famous for Table Mountain, Robben Island, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, excellent shopping centres, sports facilities, theatres and entertainment, is only 40 min away. This vibrant metropolis with its kaleidoscope of cultures is one of the top ten most visited cities in the world. The Cape Town International Airport is just 20 minutes away from Blaauwheim.

His fruit platters are legendary! A full English breakfast is served with bacon and eggs, sausages, fried tomatoes, mushrooms and potato rösti. It is accompanied by freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee and/or your choice of a selection of teas. Also on offer are cereals, yoghurt, cheese, toast, freshly baked rolls and croissants.
