Property Description

Steeped in history, the Davenport Hotel dates back to the early 17th century. The building, where the Davenport is located, was formerly Merrion Hall, a prayer hall which was designed to be able to accommodate up to 2000 worshippers. Unfortunately, a fire in 1990 destroyed the interior but luckily the impressive and historically important facade survived and is listed and retained as an impressive lobby for the luxurious and modern O'Callaghan Davenport Hotel in Dublin, (you may recognize it from the film Hear my song). The building opened as a four star hotel in 1993 and offers both a traditional and modern experience in Dublin with a superb city centre location. The Davenport Hotel is part of the O'Callaghan Hotel Group. Main function room is called the Gandon Suite. The Gandon Suites divide in to the Gandon Suite North, South and Central forming a H shape room. The Gandon Suites North & South have a capacity of 200 delegates theatre style per section The entire suite opens out to seat up to 400 guests on round tables. The décor in the Gandon Suites is very warm with heavy wooden paneling, providing an original venue. The Gandon Suite South has extensive audio visual facilities inbuilt. The Boardroom. With warm mahogany tones and impressive décor, the Boardroom Suite ensures absolute privacy for the most important meetings of up to 30 delegates theatre style or 20 boardroom style.

We encourage all our employees to bring any ideas and suggestions they have to this team so that we can do our part in passing on a safer world to future generations. The The energy team will have responsibility for implementing the policy and ensuring the policy matches with company culture. We will adopt a phased approach to our environmental policy and have a small number of targets which will be communicated to all staff.
