Booked through Booking.com told pool and gym. This property had supported neither. Upgraded for microwave and refrigerator in room due to long work days, neither were provided. Not hotel fault, seems commission driven overly eager third party? Staff were friendly as well as helpful.

All the staff were extremely courteous and friendly and had the patience to answer my questions about the area. My only criticism is that the beds could be a lot firmer.

Upon arrival we were allowed to come in early. 1st thing we saw were signs that said park at your own risk! Wow, really makes you feel safe! The outside railings where in disrepair, everything just painted over to try to cover up. Had a very hard time getting the door to open, had to try three and four times every time except once. The room looked nice when we got in but I spilled some water on the floor by the sink and went to wipe it up and the wash rag was black. I put the bath mat down in the bathroom and when I got out of the shower and stood on it the bottom of the towel was black. I have pictures. There was a hole around the tub faucet like they had cut the hole to fit, they hardly had the holes in the shower caulked. Upon making the reservations I did not know that a two bedroom did not have a coffee pot, or a microwave or fridge. It was my mother and I so one bed would not work. I told her just looking around it made me feel like one of those place where they have shootings. I did let the lady at the front desk know about the floors after she asked me about the room, and she did take $15 off the stay which was very nice. But I have been a housekeeper for many years and never, never would I stay in a place like that again. Along with going to buy a coffee pot I bought a large can of Lysol spray and sprayed every inch of the place: floors, mattress pads, sheets, blanket, bedspread and pillows, underneath and on top. This is just the way it made us feel. Thank you for letting me vent. I have not decided whether or not to post the pictures of the dirty floors on my FaceBook yet or not. If I do I am sorry but the truth is the truth, maybe all of your hotels are not in this shape, I do not know but as I said before I will not be finding out!

I went online and booked four nights and was told we were to get a microwave and mini fridge. We did not get either. We were short a pillow for three nights. It was disappointing.

The room was clean and nicely furnished. We enjoyed a nightly walk in the Italian neighborhood behind the hotel. When we arrived, Angela was extremely busy with telephone calls and guests. She handled each in a prompt and friendly manner. I was impressed with her customer service qualities. Thank you for a wonderful weekend in St. Louis. The value and location made for a very reasonable mini-vacation!
