Welcoming guests from all over the world for twelve years, we are honored to have guests enjoy our property for an ultimate getaway. The historic Prairie Guest House is comprised of two houses. The Farmhouse is a stately, mid-1800s building with tall windows and high ceilings which houses our nine immaculate, spacious guest rooms filled with marvelous antiques and comfortable beds, each with its own huge, beautiful bath. The Main House is just across the lawn. In the Main House, you'll enjoy a bountiful farm-to-table home-cooked breakfast in the mornings after your restful evening. We view breakfast as a celebration, and we happily accommodate special dietary needs and requests. After breakfast, explore the many nearby shopping, dining, entertainment and outdoor attractions our area has to offer, take an on-premise yoga class or cozy up with a good book in our tranquil sunroom, which faces the gardens (and perhaps Fiona, our feline innkeeper, will curl up with you!) Whether you are coming to Hamilton County for business or pleasure, you will find everything you need at the Prairie Guest House. We are centrally located and just minutes from Carmel, Keystone at the Crossing and downtown Indianapolis. The Prairie Guest House is the ideal location for bridal and baby showers, rehearsal dinners, family reunions, executive retreats, holiday parties and special weekend getaways for couples and groups of friends. In addition to breakfast, we offer private dining tailored to fit most any group's budget, including lunches (for here or to-go,) casual buffets and formal dinners. The dining room in the Main House features the original L.S. Ayres board room table and chairs, gorgeous antiques and a fireplace, making it a unique venue for meetings and dining for groups of up to 40 people. Your Wedding and Celebration Headquarters Our rolling Barn Meadow is a lovely spot for outdoor weddings of up to 150 guests, with our rustic white-washed barn serving as the perfect backdrop for your special day. The Courtyard and Gardens is an ideal spot for a wedding or casual rehearsal dinner up to 75 people. Should you be hosting your wedding at any one of the marvelous nearby reception sites in Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville or Indianapolis, we are your wedding headquarters. Rent the entire inn for the bridal party and family to spend the wedding weekend, and we will also host a bridal lunch or day-after brunch for the group. Prairie Yoga Studio One of the most unique aspects of the Prairie Guest House is the on-site Prairie Yoga Studio. Karen, along with a team of talented teachers, offers a regular class schedule as well as private classes for our guests, adding a pleasant option to relax and rejuvenate during your stay. We encourage groups to schedule yoga into their retreats. When the yoga studio isn't in use for classes, it makes an appealing setting for group dinners and meetings of up to forty people.
